  2. Depends exactly how far north in Leicestershire it Is, fir the price, but i will do it for you. I have a lucas mill so the size isn't an issue. I can either slab them for you or cut them into dimensional boards or beams or a bit of both. Will Pm my contact details over. James
  3. Nice. How do you like the mill, and what power head you running?
  4. Yeah I know. The next ones mine or pistols at dawn!
  5. Let me know if Clive doesn't have it and ill swing by and get it.
  6. Didn't see the line sorry! think the lez would kill it for me anyway. It's closer to you so you can have it.
  7. Unfortunately my drivers lorry can't go in lez without paying /£200 so that kills it. Only option is for me to come in truck and trailer but I sold my hiab. Sorry will have to pass. Assuming it is in lez that is.
  8. Ok. Just waiting on a price. Is there any firewood left or is it just the stick. Cheers James
  9. I'll call my driver and see what he will charge me to collect it. Don't want to see it logged.
  10. Is the timber milled and dried already? I can make them for you but you will need to mail the timber. Can we get a photo of the wood in its current state?
  11. Its slightly further than ideal. Let me see what else comes up over next few days and I will get back to you. Cheers
  12. Yes it is a nice log. Thanks to seb for selling me it. Hoping there may be one or two more to come off the same site but politics will decide.
  13. Here they are roadside.
  14. Dbh is 1200. Two very nice 4.8m stems out of it. First one ends around 1m diameter second one 900 diameter. One more 4.8m not as good bit still goid with one big side branch. And a bendy 6m on the end. Took one of the branches as well which will yield some 4 X2 fir the the porch roof.
  15. Here's a quick pick of the stem I just had delivered. One more like this would be great.
  16. Ok I have taken delivery of the above mentioned stem but I am still needing some more. Let me know if anything good turns up. Cheers
  17. No idea how deep they are. Might dig one of the rotten ones out and inspect.
  18. Here's the photos of our ancient cobbles. The buildings they are next to are approx 120 years old. Who knows how old they are. You can see the orange bricks they have been replaced with and areas they are knackered and others they are perfect.
  19. Will take a pic over next couple of days.
  20. Interesting job Clive. How thick did you cut them and what did you bed them in?
  21. We have some end grain cobbles that are around 120 years old I guess. But at least pre war. Some are tatty some have been replaced with brick and some look new Ish. I think there oak ? And are all roughly brick size. Most people think they are brick and don't notice they are wood.
  22. Try here. always woods for sale. http://www.johnclegg.co.uk/
  23. I hear what you saying, but there's not that many band mills around that could cut it are there?
  24. Lovely. Lime the bowl with the Dutchmans in it and the lamp.
  25. Free tip site still available in winslow bucks. Cheers
