  1. Here they are roadside.
  2. Dbh is 1200. Two very nice 4.8m stems out of it. First one ends around 1m diameter second one 900 diameter. One more 4.8m not as good bit still goid with one big side branch. And a bendy 6m on the end. Took one of the branches as well which will yield some 4 X2 fir the the porch roof.
  3. Here's a quick pick of the stem I just had delivered. One more like this would be great.
  4. Ok I have taken delivery of the above mentioned stem but I am still needing some more. Let me know if anything good turns up. Cheers
  5. No idea how deep they are. Might dig one of the rotten ones out and inspect.
  6. Here's the photos of our ancient cobbles. The buildings they are next to are approx 120 years old. Who knows how old they are. You can see the orange bricks they have been replaced with and areas they are knackered and others they are perfect.
  7. Will take a pic over next couple of days.
  8. Interesting job Clive. How thick did you cut them and what did you bed them in?
  9. We have some end grain cobbles that are around 120 years old I guess. But at least pre war. Some are tatty some have been replaced with brick and some look new Ish. I think there oak ? And are all roughly brick size. Most people think they are brick and don't notice they are wood.
  10. Try here. always woods for sale. http://www.johnclegg.co.uk/
  11. I hear what you saying, but there's not that many band mills around that could cut it are there?
  12. Lovely. Lime the bowl with the Dutchmans in it and the lamp.
  13. Free tip site still available in winslow bucks. Cheers
  14. 2 giant mog loads of chip now delivered. Thanks Jeremy Arbwork
  15. Do you honestly sell one tonne of hardwood logs for £35 including delivery. That's nuts.i can't buy cord for that.
  16. Had this problem with an 051 and i was advised to check all screws in the recoil casing were present and tight. I already new they weren't as I thread was bad. I fitted an insert In the thread and the recoil wa much better.
  17. To get it tipped you will need the tip specs and any decent saw doctor can do it. It's often easier to keep tips for these specialist saws as doctors are unlikely to stock them. If you tell me where your based I might be able to help. What's the max width and length of cut on the mill and what's the asking prce.
  18. Have you got tips for it. Does the saw come with a grinder for sharpening. Where are you based? Much better off learning to do it yourself Imo. I can help if you answer above questions.

  21. If you haven't sold it give me a pm and ill buy it off you.
  22. Nice tree. Better left standing but I'd buy it if I was closer.
  23. Nice boards. The larch looks to be exceptional quality. Look forward to seeing the finished result. Will be starting milling for a green oak frame on Friday so looking forward to that too.
  24. 8 dollars a board foot is roughly £6 for 1 12th of a cubic foot so a cubic foot is about £72 in Brooklyn. I wouldn't have expected to pay much more than that here. Maybe £80-90.
  25. Hopefully it's will be mine and e will be enough to keep the job going. .
