  1. What chain are you using. That cut is awful. Could be chain related. Where are you based?
  2. Your problem will be one of the following in order of likeliness. Bad chain. But you say its brand new so. Bar missaligned with rails. Go through all bar alignment procedures. Will probably need shimming front to back to get it spot on. Put a straight edge front to back on bar and measure against frame to check. Rails are out of parallel to each other. Bar is worn either, rails out of square or the Groove is too wide. You will always get some rippling but a properly set up slabber will be minimal. I assume your using a 5 skip chain.? Please upload some photos of the quality of cut and I may be able to advise.
  3. Is it climbing in the cut too?
  4. At no point has he said he wants the logs for free.
  5. I've done it before with poles with a rotten center. Just get rid of the rotten bit. That's the bit the creosote didn't penetrate. My posts are in service still on the chicken fence. Outlasted 2 modern 4x4 posts
  6. The mould won't disappear not will stop growing if the logs are dry. There will always be a mould stain unless you clean it off.
  7. Nah. Not that desperate to drive for 2.5 hours to cut it for him.
  8. Did you ever get this sorted?
  9. Did you ever get this sorted?
  10. Cheers. None that close though. Nearest is an hour away. Will contact them if nobody comes up with a better option
  11. Hi can Anyone near me supply me decent local charcoal. Don't need it packaged. Would prefer loose. For personal use at home and catering. Use about 40 or 50kg a year. My old supplier had packed up. Cheers James
  12. Ahh. Slight hitch there.
  13. Not sure on sizes but I have general grabber at2, and having at3 fitted next week. £110 each fitted and I've always been happy with them.
  14. No excuses. I care very little about football or my country, but if someone commits a foul like that they should be sent off. Half the reason i dont watch much football is the diving and deliberate fouling. Unless the refs start punishing shit like that it will continue to happen. A yellow card in the final means very little.
  15. No. He clipped his heel before 24 put his leg in front. Was a marginal penalty. Could of gone either way. We have had plenty of those go against us in the past though.
  16. But his hands are already raised claiming innocence so.......
  17. Everyone has to be outside the box when the ball is kicked except goalie and penalty taker. Penalty taker will always be closer.. Casper should of caught it or pushed it away. He tried to catch it but failed. In this sense it wasn't a good save.
  18. You must sell to a different market to me as most of what I sell, brown wouldn't be suitable. Just worked out im about 4 or £5 a board ft for oak. Not that I've ever worked out board ft before. Silly measurement for structural timber.
  19. That is strong money. Need to put my prices up
  20. Thanks guys. Will convey your thoughts along with mine to the chap and see what he wants to do.
  21. Went to see a eucalyptus dalrympleana today. Really nice old guy who planted the tree in the 70s from seed. He is concerned now about the size of it and the proximity to his house. He wants it removed but doesn't want it going to firewood. I have no experience of it at all. I understand its durable. Few questions. Would it be a good timber for fencing or garden furniture? How thick is the bark likely to be. Any opinions on previous experience Milling it. The guys Garden is like an arboretum. He a nice chap and would like to help him out. Pic of the 3 eucs to go. Big one is about 850mm dbh
  22. Really. Doesnt seem like a good match. But I was 1 so what do I know.
  23. Bunsen burner more recently. Saw them in a small rock club in the 90s. They were awesome. Otway is a nutter.
  24. Yeah it could be. Depends how the shake develops as it dries.
