  1. i guess that if on a Saturday night you can wind up an 088 without upsetting someone then there may not be a pub near by......
  2. Any thoughts on these pictures. There is no history of fires near by, nor of physical damage from impacts (vehicles etc). There appears to be signs of callousing at the periphery of some of the damage, indicating an attempt at recovery.
  3. Safe-Eyes | No Misting, No Scratching, Un-fog-able Eye Protection Try these.......
  4. Game on, going to start auctioning my jobs. Once you've won the auction and payed up please let me know. I shall book the job in and invoice the clients on completion. Should be retired in a couple of months!!
  5. All the guys at Osbourne's know their stuff and cannot be more helpful. I've just replaced all belts and filters with stuff off the shelf at an autofactors, for less than £25. Going to check out Saturn blades in the morning, sounds like a good recommendation.
  6. Washing machine, low temp. wash (30°), non-bio powder or liquid and fabric conditioner. Comes out like new!
  7. A 40 min round trip to pick up a spare part isn't much if your businesses will be online thereafter? If I've read their policy guideline correctly you will be able to continue purchasing online from a store if you've been there in person for something Stihl produced. So you may have to become registered or something similar, its hardly the end of the world? Stihl may have taken an excessive step at this stage but I reckon that this may be reviewed shortly due to the problems that they may cause long standing and loyal customers. Should you or anyone need air for your blowers, there appears to be plenty here hot air that is!!
  8. Anything to avoid wear on the ring...
  9. We piggy back an Aztec 4:1 on a portawrap when we need to cut, catch and then reposition before finally lowering to the ground and drinking tea. Works ok....
  10. Book it to suit your schedule, if they're keen then they'll be there on the day. On most occasions we've had this they don't show up.
  11. Check out the Lindana TP150 extentions. You might be able to something similar.
  12. I use an Olympus Tough. Survives work and play well with good pictures too.
  13. Yes i acknowledge that the outcome of the incident is truly tragic. However it does not change the fact that his actions were probably illegal.
  14. I don't know the facts but i gather the key elements are: old boy (deceased), chainsaw, tree, public park? What would be your thoughts if it had been a couple of teenagers/hoodies or illegal immigrants? just curious.
  15. The old Zoggs swimmers steam up quickly, Safe Eyes mesh goggles are really good, fitting under helmets just fine too.
  16. We use them, TP150, good for us doing mostly private domestic stuff. Well built and reliable so far too.
  17. We use motorolas with 'cool talk' throat mikes and ear pieces. Does the job and background noise doesn't matter.
  18. So far so good. I've just renewed with them as the price and service so far has been excellent. They get my vote.
  19. Depends on the 'inspector'! There are the ones who get a ticket and then know everything and then there are those that know a lot and then get a ticket....
  20. ArbClimber did a product review of helmets, might get some ideas from that.
  21. No idea what the difference is! I have a 'C' and am well pleased with it. It does have the scissor ram which isn't so great, but ok.
  22. If its 'fit for purpose' and not CE marked you can write your own risk assessment. CE marks only mean that a product hits certain standards.
  23. Is it an S or a C? Either way the ram is the only potential let down, good vans.
  24. Try Irwin general construction, or the Extreme conditions ones (warmer). They're not bad, and cheaper than £30 too. The dipped palm gloves are a winner if you don't expect thm to last more than a few days.
