  1. Can't see a difference in oil being to blame. Must be something else like maybe dolmar!
  2. I am sure we already took the mickey out that guy the first time round! Poor guy, it was only a barbers chair and could easily have happened to any one of us. Glad it wasn't me on telly though haha
  3. Sounds great! If I wasn't tied down with the ball and chain I would be there in a shot. Only you can keep the beaches and leave me in the outback, that's way more interesting.
  4. Ooh I want a shot of that! Sod chainsaws we got explosives!
  5. Haha just wait till I get a new pc. You will click unread posts and it will just be my name top to bottom.... I need a life
  6. I could teach you how, for a price:001_tongue:
  7. What's happy about murdering 2 animals trying to scrape a living in a human infested world and a broken landy? You should have said you relieved 2 foxes of their misery of having nowhere to live in peace and your landy looked like the gearbox had gone but it was only the battery:001_tt2:
  8. I climbed with dumby dave as we called him back then when he was getting strong on Dumbarton rock. Great to see him getting a name for himself now I don't have a tv so can't comment on dougies boringness except that he always has been dull as night.
  9. Haha yea it would be even funnier if he tried it with an oak or something solid instead of a soft banana plant!
  10. Yea you can't beat a farmland tree for metalwork. I hate cutting anything down in farm land because you know your going to hit something nasty buried in the trunk. Spend most of the day with file in hand...
  11. Looks nice and balanced Good job
  12. That's weird but interesting. Can't watch the vids on my phone unfortunately but i get the idea.
  13. Ok I see it now thanks monkey D you is da man
  14. Killed a bunch of connys today and then made an extra 50 quid knocking down 2 trees for the neighbour which took all of 10 minutes. When we were done I even went to help the old neighbour to cut up his firewood cos I could see he was busting a gut trying to do it. Felt good and went home happy that I never smoked again today.
  15. Wow that's brilliant! I have never seen that before. Is there no supports for the branches at all? It looks too regular not to have something supporting them, plus I can't see very well on my iPhone, it's just too wee
  16. Yep 100 a day is a good starting point
  17. Beat me to it with my slow iPhone technique
  18. terrible bit of advice that, especially if mrs smith hasn't got a clue what she's on about, which is most often the case.
  19. Ah ok I wasn't paying enough attention and thought we were on about saw heads sorry. I have my fiskars for that.
  20. Don't get your hopes up mate, ain't no sweeties getting passed me at the moment, that's my replacement for smokes at the mo. You could come over and get em while they are fresh but I am on a shoot fresh faced arbs on sight policy just now:lol:
  21. Someone give that guy a sweetie and maybe even a job. That's the kind of attitude that will get you where you want to go in one piece!
  22. I agree pretty much with everything Rupe has said. I have not seen these threads that simply just say don't do it but I have seen many threads with a whole bunch of hard truth. These may seem like a put off to some but nobody likes the truth do they? Anyone starting in this industry is going to have a real sweaty bumpy road ahead of them and if they are determined, honest and hard working then the chances are they will make it. As Rupe said, if you get put off by some comments on a forum then it wasn't for you in the first place. I will say one thing though, if anyone is thinking of freelancing on my patch then you won't make it and should give up now
  23. I have a silky zubat pole saw and it's the doggies whatsits, I have never had any problems with it at all except for maybe the odd blood blister if you don't watch how you close it.
