  1. Bite the bullet and get a better harness. My last 2 harnesses were butterflies and i used to think they were good, how wrong can one person be?? Now i dont have bruises on my hips and flaky skin because i bought a good harness this time. Treemotion all the way for me now, i will never go back to a butterfly
  2. Have to agree there, to me it looks like most of the tree is still the same height and has just been thinned out some. The reduction looks to have been only on the lateral lower branches. Does look nice though
  3. Get out there and plant as many trees as you can beside houses, under power lines, beside roads....everywhere!! then hopefully in 50 years you will get the job to cut them down:001_tt2: Seriously though just keep at it, you will get a break sometime and when you do you need to prove your worth having on the squad. If you get work and dont shine then you wont be working long, simples
  4. I noticed the boot cleaning mats got used but everyone just walked passed the spray station. Here at Tane I didn't notice any boot cleaning though, may be because it's all raised boardwalk and not on the forrest floor itself??
  5. i thought this was going to be a real gore fest of a thread about chipping dogs and then humans cos the cemeteries didnt have the space anymore or something!! Imagine my disappointment
  6. Think of the personal satisfaction of saving another tree and slowing the process of all our deaths by another little bit Good call
  7. Haha no i didnt but i can guess from who that came from:001_rolleyes: I didnt want to step off the cattle track what with all the signs telling us not to i got a bit worried some huge mauri might just stomp on me. I would love to have been able to explore around a bit more but not knowing the neighbourhood i didnt want to upset anyone.
  8. yea it was something else when it came into view, there was nothing anywhere close to its size on the walk in and it was the first big one we saw. There was a jaw dropping moment and a holy cow i guess thats the beast there then! Cracking big tree and a shame it has lost a lot of its crown but the sheer girth and enormity of it just cant be explained in pics. I sat staring in awe for a while before i clicked into arb mode and started looking for where i could get the throwbag over
  9. Really? i didnt realise there was a limit! you and Hama must have passed that limit years ago if i am reaching it already? I take it it can be extended then?
  10. having to go smaller every time... that was 400 x 300 before i could get 2 photos on the 1 page. I need a computer surgeon:001_rolleyes:
  11. I always have my camera set on highest possible setting because i hate to have less than the best from whatever i use. Its only a 7.1 megapixel camera but it does take good shots. the thing was that even ones i had taken with my iPhone i had to make smaller as well. I am guessing its something i am doing wrong this end but i have no clue what it could be. Like i said before, I could just throw them straight on with my old pc without any problems, so unless Arbtalk has changed anything in the last month or so then it must be something i have not set up correctly.
  12. have to go down to 500 x 375 just to get 2 photos on!
  13. another 2 from NZ i even had to make the first one smaller again because it couldnt handle it!!
  14. I guess your right but its a bit strange that i never had that problem before and nothing has changed except the computer, the computer is better than my last one so thats whats getting me a bit confused with it all... Loved the trip to NZ and would go again anytime i can find the cash and time:thumbup: ok now i will try to get more pics up, wish me luck:001_rolleyes:
  15. this is going to be a slow process:thumbdown:
  16. hmmm seems i can only do 2 at a time:confused1:
  17. brings a new meaning to the word WEEPING willow:001_rolleyes: I wonder if miss dreadlocks went out and planted 10 trees in memory of it in more open space or just sat singing and weeping about it...
  18. He takes the saw off the strop to use it, and mostly 1 handed at that!??? freeclimbs the last bit to set his rope higher? 2000 trees he claims and still hasnt got a lanyard??? Umm yea ok thats an American Sorry ELG but you know what i mean (i hope)
  19. Nice Ok so that means the problem with not being able to upload photos is all mine and not a problem on Arbtalk side but i cant figure out what i am doing wrong!!! i do everything as i always have but when its time to upload the photos it just quits and says i lost the connection with arbtalk!!!! Argh i hate computers!
