  1. Nice one mate I agree it does have that oriental feel to it, good work.
  2. 33 is still youngish haha I had the finger problem and the shoulder at your age but everything else worked fine. The mountaineers finger was an excess of crimping every day trying to 7c's and 8a's before I was ready and the shoulder was self inflicted in a moment of rookie stupidity.
  3. I got one years ago and it sat in a cupboard since. Maybe I should force myself to use it or at least to do something! I just want to relax when I get home, think my get up n go, got up n went...
  4. Your just young! Give it time lad
  5. Eh? I have never written a ransom note in my life and have nothing to hide either! I am already getting the idea that this graphology mumbo jumbo is a big pile of the proverbial. Not sorry
  6. Correction... The bicep thing has been going on for about 4 months now I think about it. And don't even start with the back pains!
  7. I have mountaineers finger in 3 fingers on each hand which I got when I was rock climbing, I have a recurring pain in my shoulder where I was hit by a top, my right ankle gets real painful at the end of each day (I think from being twisted in forks etc), and general muscle pains all over. Oh and I am working on my stupid tan Lately my right bicep has been giving me jip for about 1 or 2 months now and for some reason the muscle won't heal, this really only gets bad at home while resting. None of it will ever stop me and I will never be looking for an office/factory job ever! I would drown myself in the forth before that ever happens.
  8. Joking aside that is more realistic than some of the crazy stuff in people's heads!
  9. What if you did it all in capital letters? If I write things out I usually do it in capitals so it's easy to read. I hate trying to decipher someone's handwriting so I do to others as I would like done to me.
  10. Chucking it down with rain this morning so I get the call not to bother today, still chucking it down so it was a good call and my 4th day of being a non smoker is full of chocolate and goodies from the fridge woohoo!
  11. So that's why council workers are all standing around leaning on shovels and watching 1 guy do the work? They are all waiting for their 40 minute shot? It's no wonder that things take so long to do these days, we have all this equipment to make jobs easier and quicker but we can't use them because we might strain a muscle or something! Complete nanny state we have become, the end is nigh people we are going backwards.
  12. I almost said "really?" then I thought better about it mr legend
  13. Hear hear! Well said. Me being freelance, should it be my responsibility to check for bats on every tree i get asked to do? Should I ask if a survey has been carried out and I won't start until I see the proof? If this was the case I think people would quickly stop phoning me to be honest. I am pretty careful when climbing and try to check as much as possible but that's as much as I am willing to do for now.
  14. Not necessarily white finger or raynards. It could be trigger finger, mountaineers finger or any manner of tendon problems. Best bet is go ask the doc then you will know for sure.
  15. Welcome to arbtalk All you need to do for advice is keep going through this forum, it's laden with threads on all kinds of subjects. You came to the right place...

Maybe you have or had lots of flies too?
  17. I rarely have problems getting the silky back in its scabbard. I have the silky attached to harness on the left and I use my right hand (mostly). Sometimes if the scabbard twists a bit it can be awkward but not ever as awkward as having that crud strapped to my leg getting caught up in everything and being generally uncomfy. Maybe I should try marmite someday if I ever get desperate enough and can't find real food to eat!
  18. It's not the size that counts but what you so with it.... So far nothing! Come on guys get your fingers out I am waiting to see what you do???
  19. It IS for protecting your hands. It was a question I asked as well when I was shown it.
  20. Do you mean the metal bars behind the handles? If so then it's to protect your hands from bits sliding forward.
  21. Ditto on the reduction, chestnuts are notorious for snapping out their crowns so a bit less sail would be the business IMO.
  22. Haha no need to run that was well said. Newcomers all need a break and a chance to prove themselves but it is also true that a lot of them just don't have it in them to become good. The worse ones are the real cocky ones that think they know it all but usually they are the ones that will end up in A&E blabbering about it being the saws fault or something. The ones that will become good IMO are the quiet ones that ask questions instead of boasting about how huge that tree was they did the other day! Quiet means thinking and paying attention but that doesn't mean they can stand staring into space thinking too much, there's lots of sweating to do while your thinking:sneaky2: And if you can't take a load of second hand slaggings then forget it:lol: I don't think all newbies get tarred with the same brush it's just that there is more dumplings giving the few good ones a harder task to prove themselves.
  23. Never had one to work on but I do know the fruit smells really badly like dog poo. I was cutting grass under one a couple years ago and just thought I had mowed over a few jobbies but it turns out it was the fruit. Bit of pointless info for you there
  24. Think you need to rethink the name of your thread mate. Ross won't get many people interested. Something like climbing work needed in Cornwall or big discount for the first tat hires me blah blah Good luck
