  2. That's a good lump of oak it's lifting.
  3. To right guarding will not stop everything. My old boss had a fordson major with just a thick plate of steel on the front and that thing would drive through most stuff.

  5. This afternoons job silverbirch felled and large laurels reduced, 200m to drag brash up hill:thumbdown: Customer dragged brash with mower and dolly

  7. Ash will last a fair time as weather boarding if you paint some type of treatment on it.
  8. It weighs 27.5 kg according to paper work which came with it. It very handy Steve but not cheap but it is the best type of ladder for the work I do in a day as I have only used one like it for the last 10 years and its the only ladder I take on site.
  9. No it's not light weight, but you can not have strength and durability with out a bit of weight.
  10. New log splitter turned up last week, 23T RIKO manage to get it on tractor today and give it a try very impressed. Bought it to break down big timber
  11. Took a Makita breaker to be repaired as it stopped running, no good knackered dealer said and gave it back in bits in a box. Had a word with someone in my village how said he would test motor, armersher fault so I fitted new one think it was about £35 cheaper than £700+ for new one.
  12. Thanks for help. Was to understand they have started remaking them as I was told be dealer I bought it from.
  13. Replacement is 4 weeks old and had some work so new.
  14. So rather then test 385xp compression tested the replacement tanaka 230 reading was 120 psi. So it turns out not as low as reading ( 100psi ) but still lowish.
  15. Good idea have a husky 385xp will try it on and compair.
  16. 5 Pulls and then checked again with 10 pulls both full throttle 100psi both. Taskmaster compression tester.

    Ladder

    New ladder turned up today only a months wait to replace a 10 year old titan reform. Had to get it imported from Holland Altrex rocky combo.
  18. Compression test done and only 100 psi so knackered ?.
  19. Have you looked at air filter pipes inside as they can de-laminate and form flaps of rubber inside and cause all-sorts of problems.
  20. Would not think it muffler problem as rev's ok and then cuts out when you back right off to tick over and if you take plug out it soaked in petrol.
  21. Yes very good engine, but has had a lot of work in the years I ve had it. What is the max psi I am looking for out of interest.
  22. Turned out to be over fuelling so fitted carb kit but no differences still the same over fuelling,
  23. I use Bolle Contour with M3 Peltor Optime 11. when hedge cutting and very comfy and under vizor.
  24. Mine is my husky 353 as I do not own a 550xp. Have ran it alongside a 550xp and was not much differents as it runs 9 tooth and a low profile chain.
  25. It was only a van. So why are cars getting talked about.
