  3. As I use a Land Rover 130 for tree work I have no trouble with road handling when full or empty, it all depends on how you set suspension up.
  4. It s about 3.5 m3 with mesh sides.
  5. I run a Ifor William 8x5 tipper for log deliveries and other tree work when need to move a lot of timber, easy to get in to drive ways and turn round.
  6. I have used a Tanaka TBC230 for 8 years on a hedge cutter attachment and pole chainsaw attachment great set up. I had a problem last year when my old Tanaka just stopped and would not start, bought a replacement which was 1 of the last TBC230 made and has been back for repair and is in for repair know looking like crank shaft bearing But I have rebuilt my old 1 with new bearings seals and piston ring and it runs a dream. The TBC240 is the replacement for the ones I run and they have plenty of go to run hedge cutter even through hawthorn yearly growth.

  8. Just bought a new Mervin pruner head, looking for the best way of storing it. eg; bag or box. what do you use.
  9. Best test for any splitter is a knotty piece of field maple.
  10. If site is big enough to work front mount chipper on simple 3pl and tow trailer to site then switch it to rear to chip then switch back to tow home saves running 2 tractors to site.

    Have used old Allen scythe mower years ago and did a good job once i got the hang of it. My old boss uses a BCS 5ft cut finger mower for that type of job dose a good job.
  12. This job was not the norm Gale breaker put to stop wind getting in walled garden till new hedge is planned for protection. Pathways were a little tight.

  19. Great stuff oko. When I worked for someone he had an old fordson major with jungle buster on it ran sealant in rear tyres, when we had lunch would all ways drive tractor up and down clear ground before stopping it work most times, and if we had a puncture that would not seal raised pressure in tyre to about 40 psi and drive it up and down slow and then drop pressure back to normal work every time.
  20. Second vote for Tanaka You can sharpen them and adjust blade tightness.
  21. New disc's as well maybe.
  22. To cut the top you need a cherry picker with boom mounted on back of basket not underneath so you can sit it low down.
  23. It took me 2 days as it was a big tidy up as it was over grown a bit;
  24. This hedge is 9m high and 6m wide only way is cherry picker. but if you land up using one go bigger then what you think you need.
  25. Why chip such big timber? I did see it was a Bandit chipper.
