  1. You Devon boys have a cracking sense of humour. I can actually hear you saying " I reckon it's Richard Wale's motor" in that Pam Ayres like drawl.
  2. Good luck to you Rob. Reckon you'll do just fine with an attitude like that
  3. Lazy and inconsiderate. So they are now labelled for evermore and publically humiliated because they NEARLY blocked an entrance. Get a grip Mr Perfect.
  4. The car didn't block the entrance entirely as he got through. If it's an on going issue then put a sign up. Of course we walk past cars every day, cctv etc, but we don't photograph them and splash on all over a forum do we. If it's a one off situation that a car parked close to his gate big deal, he got in found the owners, sorted. Let's splash it all over a forum shall we.
  5. Not the end of the world though is it. Put a No Parking sign up. Posting his car reg is an absolute no no.
  6. Tulip tree or Magnolia?
  7. You're right about oak, that's a long haul wood!
  8. Currently in Newquay with the kids and my god if you had a stack of firewood here the wind we are having would dry it in a couple of weeks!!
  9. From experiments last year as long as the airflow is good you can get down to 20% in a month under cover of summer temperatures I've just finished processing the last of this year's wood for sale, under cover in the open sided barn. Will be perfect to sell in December. My experience tells me fresh wood cut and split, under cover good airflow etc takes less than 12 weeks to become very acceptable to sell
  10. It would take an hour to replace with a new m2 of matching art turf. Absolute joke to replace it all. Your only issue is a colour match. Cut out old and carefully glue or pin the new. Very straight forward.
  11. Great, thanks
  12. Hi can someone ID this plant.
  13. Taken when I was sharpening a knife! Totally jammy shot on a old iPhone 4s
  14. Wouldn't that be just amazing! Don't cut any more off it will you!
  15. It's so easy not to bother with mask when you know you should be wearing one. I'll follow his thread with interest.
  16. I'm very interested in a good mask. The sawdust that comes off a circular saw is so fine. It's balancing comfort with safety.
  17. Looks a lovely stove, bit low on its efficiency mind..
  18. I think it's safe to say that when you're happy with the stove you have installed it's one of the single best purchases you'll ever make. I would not live in another house unless it could accommodate a stove and if it didn't already have one, it's one of the first things I'd have done..
  19. Saying that I'd never put my dog in the stove..
  20. Yep, that's why I went Burley, efficiency . My old stove was a Yeoman, did its job but by god was it greedy. Modern stoves absolutely have to be judged by efficiency these days otherwise what's the point. Just like cars if you're looking for speed and power then buy the AMG or great fuel economy, buy the ....
  21. Looks like a great set up to me. Simple and effective
  22. It's a tricky one, what stove to buy? Efficiency, in my opinion, has to be top priority, build quality and then looks follow. But as we all know, the absolute bottom line is decent dry fuel.
  23. Burley stoves absolutely kick out the heat but need nigh on perfect wood to burn well. Once you suss them out they are great. However, they are very very unforgiving of anything even slightly damp, so given the choice would I buy again, maybe, but the clear view 500, which I've seen in action and seen the fuel put in it is a top end appliance that would be very tempting next time.
  24. I'd say don't worry about it, life's too short. They'll burn just fine.
