  1. 25 will burn just fine!
  2. Got a few more this week and then I reckon that's it till the New Year. Pmon last years sales but still too warm for my liking
  3. Love it. Good job done there. How many cube did you use?
  4. Try Surrey Timbers over near Guildford. Google and you'll find the number
  5. I'd have to agree
  6. CCTV picked up 4 people coming into the yard approx 12 midnight. They left at 4am. Used oxyacetylene torch to cut their way in, no facial images, but they were clearly well prepared.
  7. Now that looks nice! Very nice.
  8. Thanks. They are not my tools but belong to the tree surgeon who rents the main yard.
  9. The yard where I store my firewood was broken into last night. Stump grinders x2, all the chainsaws, everything Stihl was taken, ropes, climbing gear the lot. The yard is in the Woking area of Surrey so be aware. List of stolen equipment to follow.
  10. Likewise.
  11. Have to buy of a reseller, no bigger machines in the country, phoned Portek and they don't even know the price of the larger machine, or the engine manufacturer or the horsepower.....not such a good start, been nearly a year since the thread started.
  12. It isn't ready. End of.
  13. Couldn't agree more. Try it, be positive, if it don't work move on....
  14. if I had a secret kiln at the yard, I'd rather say they were air seasoned than kiln dried to the customer, much more of a selling point to me!
  15. Any video of it working? Brilliant price.
  16. Only once had a moisture metre pulled out of its holster. My firewood has crept up a few percent due to the weather but is going out at around 20 %. Selling a lot of beech, which for me is the finest wood to burn. Love the stuff.
  17. Is the ram speed quick?
  18. I've just had a customer who previously only ever bought kiln dried ash, just tell me my beech ash mix of air dried firewood is the best wood she has ever burnt! Happy days!!
  19. Don't say that! The kiln dried mob will be on you in a flash!!
  20. How easy is it to change from 2 handed to one handed on a vertical log splitter?
  21. Been a quiet week here. Next week is supposed to be getting colder, hopefully.
  22. Phoned Portek direct. They had virtually no knowledge of the machine, didn't know the engine make or the horse power or the price of the 28 tonne one. Chap said "about £1500" Oh, and you can only buy from a reseller. Told them I sell firewood and was quite keen etc, do you have any videos of it working? Er no. Think I'll leave it and try and import the supersplit
  23. Slow this week, and it's dropped in temperature!
  24. Great, any idea how much the petrol version is? The biggest one they do?
  25. Can't get this one in the UK, shame looks good
