  1. Really like the look of those.
  2. The hessian rots, and the wire, which is rarely used nowadays, allows root growth.
  3. Leave them in ?
  4. All our firewood is stored in an open sided barn, as long as it's processed dry with pallets on the floor, zero mould ?
  5. Wow that's a lot of firewood. Got any pictures?
  6. It seems to work on ceramic glass. It's funny how the majority of stove glass companies says once etched it's etched forever ?
  7. Sand mines a burley Wakerley. I'm sure it's the lack of air wash that causes the problems.
  8. It's the etching, the cloudy deposit on the glass, that when you wipe with a damp cloth it disappears but when dry comes backs, this is what I've discovered the sandpaper removes.
  9. Sorry it didn't work for you, has previously wasted hours on different methods to try and get the glass back to being clear but this sandpaper worked a treat.
  10. It works, a bit of elbow grease and clear glass. The grits go as high as 1500 so a super polish finish is available
  11. My stove glass was etched, cloudy patches caused by fly ash embedded in the glass. Distorted the view, really annoying. A wet cloth made it go away and then as soon as it dried the cloudy bit came back. I was told nothing could be done apart from replacing the expensive ceramic glass. But no, silicon carbide 400 grit wet and dry sandpaper from Halfords, £3. Brand new super clear glass. Works a treat.
  12. Like the van, what is it and does it tow well?
  13. I'm all out of firewood for this season, but the last 10 cube or so has all been 90% softwood. When the **** hits the fan and folk need wood, they soon snap it up and burn it. Had a few thank you texts back saying how well it burns. Cmon the softwood!
  14. I pull an ifor trailer and it's a nightmare in the snow or on icy ground. I just wouldn't bother.
  15. All sold out now. The last few remaining logs are for me!
  16. Looks a great machine. Like woodworks, would be a first choice if large scale.
  17. The occasional stacking is all factored into the firewood retail price, but thanks for the advice. ?
  18. Loose loads here as well, hand balled off to a place the customer wants to put them, within reason. I'm pretty happy to stack as it gives a better than average chance of them coming back to buy again. Bags, crates, pallets, too much hassle for me. I'm sure it works for some but I'm small scale so loose works for me and my customers.
  19. A couple more cube and I'm all sold out.
  20. Wouldn't want tonnes of it though! ?
  21. Single cab hilux. Holds 1.2. If I need the trailer then it's easy enough, not too many places a half decent driver can't get a trailer.
  22. Have you quit the business Mortimer or just decided not to use bags?
  23. That's because it's seasoned. Not all firewood needs 12 months. You're not winging it if it's dry.
  24. Down to the last few cube. I've heard it's going to get cold well into March, oh well. Need to start cutting for winter 18.
  25. What are we to do to get softwood accepted!
