  1. There are a few guys using them together mate, a lad from Lincoln called jack using it a lot i think, yea you need a pantin, i also used a hand ascender and a foot cord for a while until I got a haas knee ascender system made up (cheaper than the real one) seems to be faster, there is a thread on here somewhere of home made haas systems, all you need is some bungee a petzl croll or similar and a foot loop, I'll take a pic when I have it set up next. And some kind of chest harness made out of a a sling will keep it all upright on ascent. It would be perfect for your big up and down trees
  2. Just on the off chance, I have a spare day this week, Wednesday . 10 years experience freelance climber, full climbing kit, lowering kit and climbing saw. Based in Lincolnshire
  3. If you like a bit of bounce try kernmaster, I'm pleased with mine
  4. Tree motion is a funny harness, I personally love it, but then I do a lot more pruning/climb around kind of jobs, not many big take downs on spikes like yourself. Do you use the extra padded back on it? Have you thought of a spiderjack? I'm sure you will love the lockjack though mate especially for pines lots of up and down stuff. Still got the 2cv but it lives in dads garage a lot these days haha, you must love Sweden you hated it about 2 years ago haha you on Instagram mate?
  5. Have you looked at the skylotec kolibri click harness mate? A climber I know loves his and there bomb proof, how have you been anyway not seen you in ages!
  6. Some of these quoted weights are kind of scary haha, just cut things abit smaller, too many accidents with guys going too big, look on YouTube! Learn to chog properly and it often saves all the worry, unless it's mega confined, then, like I said go smaller, or vertical speedline. Let's not make this difficult
  7. All down to finance I guess, I have always gone by the "buy once" philosophy, when you are a freelance climber you meet all kind of guys on the ground used to all kinds of things, for me a bollard is simple and robust, saves me getting snatched about. But like i say if money is a problem any other device is better than nothing.
  8. If you cN stretch to a bollard it would be worth it, very fool proof so any idiot can use
  9. I'm a freelance climber and I am getting battered with phone calls at the min, plenty of climbers but not many who are actually any good I feel. I'm in Horncastle mate, I have a few days in April left if your struggling. Pm if your interested. But I'm guessing you have been bombarded with plenty by now haha
  10. I'm in a dilemma, need one of these but can't decide, obviously the big shot is cheaper, but I'm already going to order a roperunner from Treesruff so it evens the price out a little, anyone used both? I like the idea that you can load the apta and take your time to aim, only way of doing this with a big shot is making some kind of trigger, but if I get the big shot it means I can carry on using my awesome throw pod! Dilemma. Anyone used or have both? Any comparisons?
  11. Few pounds cheaper at honeys if that makes a slightest difference.
  12. Is this the cheapest price out there?
  13. Give him a ring tomorrow mate
  14. Honestly the art ropeguide is at another level, I have used both and even though the pulley saver is great once set up, the art ropeguide is just a smoother quicker thing to use, adjusts one handed in any weather. Watch the vid mate.....
  15. Art ropeguide, no competition, the end
  16. New England tachyon the teufleburgher one, best of both worlds and good with the hitchclimber set up, failing that any of the poison Ivy's
  17. I'm sure your due a new pair (excuse to yourself) lol
  18. Another great video there mate, kiwiklimbers are actually more useful that I thought they would be, wasn't sure if there was any point over a pantin and spikes at first, what you think so far?
  19. Could be the same one my internet is crap and won't load the first video
  20. Anyone tried this one?
  21. I might come over to cutters this year it's not far I don't think, be cool to meet up with everyone
  22. What does the srt climb involve exactly? Sorry if it has been covered already mate
  23. me in my spare time haha
