  1. This minus the hand ascender, use haas now
  2. Well the best motto I have heard recently is "do one dangerous thing every day, otherwise your not living" haha not sure I agree with it, but it's important to push yourself in reason or we would never get any better. When you are a contract climber it's hard to know what the company is used too, usually a bad job but fast, I have noticed, that can be a challenge when your trying to do a correct reduction and there expecting you to knuckle the whole tree to get it done fast. Take downs are easier to judge as you can only go a certain speed when rigging. Monday I have a huge ash to dismantle for a company I have never climbed for before, the first one is always the most interesting lol
  3. Yea your right, I might go and ask my landlord, I don't think he will let us but worth a try. Thanks for the heads up
  4. Would if I could, but I rent. I have a feeling my parents might though so that should be interesting lol
  5. Sometimes you have to think bigger and not just about ourselves, maybe it will effect us in some way, but my personal opinion is I would rather do that to help other people who need it a lot more than most "Brits". Sharing a house with a few people to spread costs for instance to help people in horrible situations in my opinion is worth it. But none of our opinions will ever work simply because we all disagree on what is important haha
  6. Regarding changing things in there homeland. But difficult with Isis doing there thing mate, a husband got shot for letting his wife drive to the shop last week. Again I think you would move to
  7. Words fail me. Unfortunately we live in a world that all think there own country is the best and any change is bad, which results in many not letting immigrants in, resulting in not a equal distribution. In a perfect world all the developed world should be letting immigrants in, with no backward racial partiality. Regards educations, these people have had no chance. It cost money to go to school in many poverty countries, so what do you choose with your £2:00 a day or what ever it may be, food and shelter or education, that is a difficult one for a parent I'm sure you would agree. If anyone really thinks you should stop people because of there education I would recommend you go and actually research and learn about these subjects, countries and poverty. And on a side note, the kind of person who is so against immigration would be the first person to do the same if this country went belly up and you had no money.
  8. Hahaha that second one made me feel abut sick hahaha "what is this world coming to"
  9. The one before the winch version This one
  10. Stein 3001 here, best thing ever
  11. I doubt it's 100% throwing it down waterproof, but the only ones that usually are, tend to be so hot I sweat out in them haha I recon this won't be bad though
  12. Don't get any ideas mate, but it sits just below my ass, I'm a 40 chest and 34 waist and I'm about 5ft10-11 this is a large size jacket, they fit exactly as the size says, no room for error, so there a nice fit not too baggy
  13. Damn it, let me get the camera out again lol
  14. Received my intrepid gravity jacket though yesterday, on first thoughts it's very nice, great build quality, zips nicely sealed, great hood! Stretchy material, I couldn't help think that if this was a "arb" make, pfanner? It would be £250. Sorry about the pics, Modelling isn't my strong point.
  15. Have a look at Strauss direct, they do loads of hi viz stuff
  16. Going to be trying one of these soon http://www.intrepidapparel.co.uk/gravity-jacket Waterproof, warm and the hood fits over your helmet, lots of pockets, and a long back, Honeybros stock them
  17. This is my setup for lanyard, pretty simple, stuff it all in the red hip bag. Platinum rope, dmm's and ART positioner
  18. 13mm rope usually 10mm cord 11.5ish rope usually 8mm, I'm sorry if my post earlier offended anyone, wasn't my intention, just met so many older climbers who constantly tell me there really fast "with a prussic" and feel like they have to tell me. at the end of the day it isn't a world crisis like poverty or aids so I did over react a little lol
  19. Well I drive a ldv tipper, so............ Lol
  20. "Killing trees, hmm, I'd have to get used to that" your not killing dolphins mate. Apart from that I really enjoyed it, thanks
  21. Why is there a breed of stubborn "real men" climbers out there, Prussic are horrible, fact. Yes you can do it, yes there cheap, yes it's less gear, and yes you should know how to do it if your stuck, but people wouldn't invent "shiny" things to make us slower or crapper. And for people who say "I can get the tree down faster than any other climber ever, in the history of climbers on this planet with my Prussic, grow up, your elbows will fall off and you won't be climbing very fast for long. "Drops the mic" I'm finished lol
  22. No one wants to work for anyone else anymore lol
  23. Sorry to be a pain Steve but did this materialise?
  24. Hi all, got this little beauty through the other day and have been using it this week, I know rings of various names have been around a while now, but this is my first, and with the plate it makes a awesome adjustable loop, I'll keep you updated on how it goes..
  25. That makes sense, I'm on the roperunner atm with a homemade chest harness, works ok, but I think it would suit a a higher attachment
