  4. Used it a few times this week, and I must say it is good, doesn't kick out at all really, unless the rope is at a ridiculous angle beneath the ascender, so far so good, the new spacer for the other side has a HAAS system ring built in too, I'll find a pic
  5. I'm only 26, but I do get pains In my wrists, but apart from that all good, I notice if I put a bit of weight on though, I think keeping your weight down is one of the most important things
  6. Might have but not that I remember, I'll keep an eye on it, the strength of a kern is the centre right? Lol
  7. Such a spy Ian! Lol Just for your eyes only...... Used it on a oak dead wood this afternoon, actually a lot more useful than I imagined, Flippin sharp
  8. As the title suggests, today I noticed some abrasion on my climbing rope, kernmaster, singly from a redirect, I guess it kind of makes sense but still didn't expect the rope to be that bad at taking a rub, any one else had this?
  9. Cheers mate, it was a real shame the back of it was in such a bad state, be interesting to se how it recovers (if it does)
  10. This mornings reduction, been hit hard by ganodermic so the backside had a lot of dead in it which all had to come out, the rest had a 20% reduction, customer looking into getting it air-spaded. After reduction (below) The very dead side (below)
  11. Can't get it in my iPhone mate
  12. Hahahaha I'll watch out for that Lincolnshire chill
  13. Just a little comparison with titanium spikes, interesting when kiwiklimbers bring out there titanium all in one spike and ascender, they will be even lighter.picture below
  14. Yea these kiwiklimbers do look bomb proof, for some reason always felt carbon looked abit like they could break hahaha pretty stupid I know
  15. Good point lol, old pantins are the best, iv used Buckingham titanium a for the last 10years with pantin added to it recently so will be interesting to see the difference
  16. Nice how are you finding it? Does the rope pop out like the pantin does?
  17. As Adam said, treeworker have them in, if I'm out your way soon Adam your more than welcome to check them out
  18. Got these through today from kiwiklimbers, first impressions are great, they honestly look and feel a quality bit of kit, the ascender is obviously a major plus for the SRT guys out there! Nice that there adjustable too, unlike the carbon geckos. The ascenders are available separately at treeworker.co.uk Like I said I just got them today so can't give further comment but will be doing a arbreviews once iv used and abused them. Any questions and I'll try and answer
  19. Today's oak reduction, but annoying with the ivy, fences and phone line but managed to get it don't by 1:30pm then the chipper decided to break so not such a early day after all haha
  20. Lyra it's all good for that, also use as a srt second line, check the official video on YouTube mate
