  1. Remote control climbing chainsaw
  2. Hitchclimber next, if you just go straight into it and stick with it it won't take long at all, the lads I have worked with were on hitchclimbers as soon as they could afford one while they were training, then about 2 years in all on spiderjacks/zigzags, don't wait around too long haha
  3. Those teufelburgers just seem mega priced to me, but saying that the black diamonds arnt cheap, lucky I found mine on eBay, I got the small dmm one like the one previously suggested for my srt stuff, only 35l I think but holding up well, not as tough as the black diamond, but seems to be holding out better than I thought
  4. This one haha
  5. These http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/321573127343 but the local Indian restaurants usually give them away, they get there mango chutney delivered in them
  6. Black diamond bag for kit, silver bull for ropes and old containers from the Indian restaurant for lowering ropes, there bomb proof plastic with screw down lids
  7. Enjoyed that
  8. I think it all depends on circumstance with me and who I'm with, my main contractor has a huge set of tripple ladders, would I usually use a retrievable base anchor? No haha I'd jus climb the thing, another guy I work for doesn't even own ladders, everything done with a throw line, retrievable base anchor? Big scary tree yes, smaller one? No, a running bowline is perfect. I think it's just down to what feels right on the day and how much time I have or how much I care haha
  9. Iv not had any problem with the panic feature yet, but to be honest once I'm Up I usually switch to a tip tie in, if I was going to choose again I would get the new isc d4? I think it's called
  10. This is what I use, it's quick and simple, don't often have a lot of time to mess around as I'm not often on my own jobs, so this does the trick for me
  11. Best thread I have read in ages lol pretty simple in my opinion I don't let anyone touch or pit away my climbing kit, just about let them touch my saw (innuendo intended)
  12. Why you been trying to base anchor more mate?
  13. I got a new ms201 and it is better than the older ones, but I'm still interested in having it modded, is there much more apart from the upgrades that it already has and an exhaust drilling that can be done?
  14. Unimog instead then? Lol
  15. Read your mail please mate pretty interested in one
  16. Looks awesome, hope you let me have a go!
  17. Please read the following very one and spread it!
  18. Please read the following notice from ARTclimb-
  19. My new ms201t with sugihara bar, hope the new updates improve this saw, the bar is a thing of beauty, thanks chainsawbars!
  20. Does it matter? And if so how do you all prefer it, I'm using ropewrench with long hand ascender if that helps
  21. Never ever rig off your own line mate, stupid old idea, to be honest if you don't feel confident for whatever reason don't do it. Just in the future always check what the job is before you turn up, I always make sure about lowering kit, and job spec a few days in advance
  22. The best is velocity but if that is too thin I personally would go for tachyon mate Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. I have used the spiderjack now for around about 5 years, and have build up a good relationship with ART in the process, what I would recommend is pretty much what others say, ropeguide! And get the double snapper to retrieve it out of the tree, it really is great, and after using a few ropes, yale XTC, imori, New England tachyon and Samson velocity, the velocity is the best hands down, people say it's too thin on the hands, but you soon adjust. A few extras in the future would be a swivel on your bridge, and mayby a pantin, but neather are vital. ART are a great family run business who always are willing to help so that always helps Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Haha shame when I clean section like that just gets chopped up and burnt, buys that's what will happen no doubt Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. A few pics from two beech dismantles we did the other day, smash them and leave them, love those jobs! Slight rigging on one but to be honest nothing of interest, 064 even got used, good old saw haha Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
