  2. When I used a spiderjack I just left the crab on the swivel all the time, even had a beal pinch to stop the crab sliding around the swivel which I loved with the spiderjack, it really helps the self tending Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Strange how we are all different, iv used swivels for years now and much prefer them, made a huge difference with a spiderjack especially if your using some kind of pulleysaver, now that I'm on srt I still use it, not sure if it really matters on art though, first I had petzl small now I have dmm small, only thing to watch is they do wear a lot faster than rings.   14. That gusthards tether don't look like it would stop the rope wrench from folding back on its self in ascent , but I could be wrong Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  22. I use the tether and it works fine mate, he's a great splicer, get all my stuff from him spliced, but I don't know his past so can't comment on that Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Ok so this is what I'm going to run after abit of experimenting, got a "shorty" 65cm hitch spliced up for me by top_rope on eBay, simple distal hitch, not climbed with it yet but feels real smooth, anyone else got experience with distal? Without this forum I was thinking today, so many of us wouldn't have a clue about all this haha Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. If only mate, I'm not not fast haha, two of us, both started in the middle and worked outwards, 2 lads on the ground, it had been topped (unevenly) in the past so that also made it easier for us Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
