  1. Ms461👍 but I used a ms441 for a long time and I liked it. It is smooth. But you can't beat the extra power of 461
  2. Off topic so I apologise, but how do you rate the big timberwolf?
  3. Something like this. 6.5ton 180bhp https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331846525911
  4. I'm thinking seriously about taking my licence to drive upto 7.5ton then something like the iveco 5.5 ton trucks would be perfect
  5. If someone made a dedicated arborist app they would make some money I think as I have also been searching for one
  6. Do you like my new machine?.....no it's foreign and stealing our jobs.
  7. Would you say a compact tractor loader is as versatile as a avant/multione or is it really down to the size and turning circle with the tractor that people tend to do for the avant kind of machine?
  8. Personally, and this is only from what I can see, I would strip on the way up, spearing the branches down to the base of the tree and cut and chucking. Then the top can be lowered out along with the logs. I think you have done the most annoying one mate (r/h/s)
  9. That makes sense,?what contract tractor have you got?
  10. Out of interest how many are using 1.5ton digger with a grapple attachment? A lot cheaper method than a avant or multione.
  11. Ok this is a interesting thread, most are just posting nice reductions haha Above is (was) a beautiful tree I reduced. Unfortunately had huge die back and the company I contracted too wanted it doing hard! This was me being sympathetic 😂 but I guess it stops all the dead falling on someone. This next oak was in the same garden, again a reduction, and again the company wanted more off but I refused this time 😂 A nicer 1m beech reduction below And another from a while back 👍
  12. Just remember your only using your cheat harness to go up the tree mate. The rest of the time it's not clipped in, unless......your going up
  13. Although it states that the LD2 will take upto 16mm really the best is 14mm, I use Sirius and I personally think it's perfect. The break is great. Not really recommended to swop to a bollard with it on like Matty says, and to be honest you won't need to. It's there to be able to easily move from winching to lowering and a back up invade your rope comes off the winch. (Break is rated to 1ton) And in that aspect it really is better than the other brands. Another thing to consider is the ArbPro is the only CE marked device out of the options (that I know of) so that could help with LOLAR.
  14. I wouldn't say there that bad actually, a lot tougher than they look in the picture, also been removable and only using one side or the other, if the impossible does happen and you smash them you can easily replace it instead of having to weld and mess around with it 👍
  15. And most importantly the colours are loads more snazzy
  16. Exactly. Hence why I import it 👍👍
  17. Basically any Yale 11.7 sold in the US
  18. Of the top of my head yes they are, there is not a a weld on the main body
  19. You had to ask didn't you lol around £2k I think the main reason for this was getting it through all the European legislations to get it CE marked! Also the production costs must be extremely high as it is all machines out of aluminium.
  20. Thanks mate 👍
  21. Personally I love all the Yale poison ivy verities. But the US version I just order it in from treestuff 👍
  22. Thanks Darrin, in no professional speaker haha but thought it would useful for some guys 👍
  23. Just a video I made regarding the ArbPro LD2 winch. It shows all the components, along with the brake which a lot of people are interested in. With a tiny bit of footage of it being used at he end.
  24. You can get them in half sizes mate mine are a 10.5
  25. Like my Andrew quick steps 👍 but I'm on arbpro evo2 now, I'm not to fussed about chainsaw protection in the tree, but if I'm doing any big timber jobs I'll go back to the andrews
