1. So basically I got a phone call from a local primary school today asking for advice on there trees, no problem. But then I got thinking if I recommend leaving a tree for whatever reason am I liable for future health and safety matters (children) I don't have a tree report certificate, would it be recommended to contract that work out to a proper tree report guy who can map it all out and sign it off? Then I just come in afterwards and do the work. I have been doing this for over 10 years so I need to do the course but in the mean time what are your views?
2. Alright mate ok if I could check out the new site as well?
3. They look very nice but what kind of price are you looking at?
4. Yea your right, it's what I have thought all along, it's just the price!
5. And a hydraulic lift to help put it in the back 😂
6. I was looking at those, that with wheels and a handle would be nice
7. What are you guys keeping your Winch bollards in? I have the ArbPro LD2 and it's massive would like something to put it all in for storages/transportation. What do you think?
8. How do you find it?
9. Is there one out there? If not why not!
10. I would agree 100% £450 needs to be taken
11. This is my two pence worth. All based on them being self employed. Payments in Lincolnshire Groudie with tickets £80-110 Climber £120-150 Now onto finding the right guy. No simple answer but I would highly recommend getting on social media and following loads of tree surgeons (preferably Instagram over Facebook) this sounds ridiculous I know but you you can tell they love there job by what they post and that is the biggest thing in this game, finding someone who loves it. You can just tell by there pictures if they take pride in what they do. When I was contract climbing I found a number of jobs just from this exact thing, I love climbing, I'm a geek about it, hence I'll try my best. Keep searching and making contacts it will come 👍 the only problem is the best ones are always in demand even groundies
12. I ended up going down to redwoods to look at all there second hand machines and new ones, ended up with a fully rebuilt Jensen a540t. I just couldn't afford a new Forst as I went out of the country for 6 months for voluntary work which was great but didn't exactly have a business to come back to. But I'm very happy with the Jensen they have done an amazing job rebuilding it and it looks brand new, I'm getting it tomorrow so I'll put some pictures on here. My second chipper now, first was a tw 150, was a pile of .... but totally my fault I bought cheap and it was a terrible machine, I have good friends in the business that have had 150s for years and because they look after them there still great machines.
13. I think (don't quote me) 3 years and around 700 hours, which I know isn't low but compared to the forsts that I have looked at, the build quality is certainly different. I do think tw have sorted out the paint issue though from the first chippers so in theory a new one would last better
14. I also have been hunting out chippers. If your going second hand try and get a reconditioned one from redwoods or masons etc I looked at a second hand Tw 230 at chandlers the other week (we are in the same area if I remember) it just looked battered, chassis paint all pealing off, bits welded on because the earlier models had problems. If your after something to last my personal opinion is don't go for a second hand 230, there not built to the same standards as a 150 or heavier machine
15. I would personally go for Jensen hands down mate. Better build quality
16. Right. I have tried my best regarding the grammar on my website after your comments 👍😂 http://www.atkinsonarb.co.uk
17. I'm looking at his ass while your looking at my ass, win win situation 😂
18. Oh and I'm basically looking at his ass
19. ArbPro LD2 Winch, similar to a GRCS but with a backup break above for added safety. If you can endure my voice I did a overview video on it.
20. My efforts from over last couple of years
21.
hi mate. im not doing so much anymore. well not if i can help it haha. But if i have spare days i can always try, or even recommend other competent climbers in the area
