  1. i,ve been searching the internet vosa website etc and it seems a gray area for me i have a fast tow log splitter ie i can tow it on a highway etc and was wondering can i as a private operator connect it to my plant trailer in tandem . As say i was splitting my own firewood for my own use on site then loading onto my trailer this then would give me no option to then put the log splitter onto my plant trailer as its already full no room for it etc can i tow it behind the trailer as i,ve read it so far its classed as a non load carrying vehical i,e an implment not a trailer providing i dont go over my GCW etc as i,ve been reading its ok for famers fair/showmans use and impliment use and would go to say a log splitter is an impliment please remember its not for hire/reward just my own use

  15. just a quicky question can anyone put a name to best crank seals to order for a 024/260 i would be greatful thanks
  16. IS DATATAG STILL AVAILABLE AS I USED IT ON MY JET SKI YEARS AGO MICRO DOT ALL OVER IT EVEN IN THE SPONGE SEAT FIBERGLASS ETC ETC OR EVEN THE DOG TAGGING CHIP SYSTEM DOES THAT ROUTE WORK ???? AS YOU ALL WELL KNOW THEY WILL TAKE YOUR GEAR IF THEY WANT IT ENOUGH BY WAITING FOR A CHANCE WHEN YOUR GEAR IS AN EASY TARGET IE A CAMERA WONT WORK THROUGH A HUDDY ETC OR A LIGHT DOES,NT DETER THEM EITHER SO ONLY A PERSON ON WATCH WILL WORK UNLESS ITS UNDER YOUR PILLOW IN BED WITH YOU ETC SO ONLY OTHER WAY IS TO TRACK IT MARK IT PAINT IT PINK WHATEVER . I know it does,nt fix the fact its gone and you need it now etc but it does reduce the odds you get it back one day as you all know the plant you use to work & earn a crust etc is saleable item so any manufacturer out there know its best not to bother to make such items tracable as they know you will be back to buy more thus make more from there product so love this sort of thing happening as they make more profits from more sales etc. I wish you all pleasant and loving christmas with your familys & friends and have prosper next year take care guys and good health in the future too you all deserve it for the hard work you do

  21. is it the 1820 road chassis or tipper chassis as the road chassis version was more flexable/wooly like to drive and suffered spring eye bushes inside door handles and clutch,s as they did,nt like pulling away even empty from first to second as though merc had,nt quite got the gearing right and the engine was a om366 engine same as the smaller truck but merc used it in a bigger truck so you had to wind it up so to speak to get it rolling we had nine of them and wished we had gone for the tipper chassis version please dont take this post as personel thing its not ment to be like that services where every 30.000 kmh and every third service diffs/gearbox oils changed but still looks a good setup >> ps rear slack adjusters for the back brakes where a pain to do too lol but all trucks have there faults
