  3. i see what you mean now" theres some chainsaw tackle on there i did,nt know they built to that sort of size it will swamp the market if there stuff will work out cost effective longevity reliable and cheap wise etc it would be good to see one first hand and take them at face value are they good to go out for a days logging i"e fit for purpose or you get what you pay for etc
  4. i recently had the use of a brand fire new out the box spear n jackson saw it was,nt my cuppa tea very plasticky/rubbery feel but then again i,am sorry to say i became a chainsaw snob i sold anything i had been given saw wise and picked the bones of ebay as moneys tight and my stihl 024 works well never looked back never brokendown either but i did have the chance of 2 jcb chainsaws as new but walked away because i,am a snob £50 each from a builder and not done much still had there old box,s paperwork from new too

  16. Trust you still" made me chuckle :laugh1:
  17. there must be a member on arbtalk who has found a truffle in woodland and tried it etc only asking as topgear on dave now had a dog hunting truffles whats the big deal with,em why so expensive its a fungus acording to google or is it like a rino horn etc as in overated tasts horrid and only exspensive because well it just is and only for the rich not the poor etc ????????
  18. i only started this thread as i was amazed how much crud built up in the bar groove as one day my chain on my 024 was tight as a drum and the saw would,nt move the chain but soon learned to rest the bar & chain on a log and reverse the chain backwards and it freed up straight away i could even move the chain by hand afterwards i know most of you are in a rush and the jobs not gone as it should etc so it understandable if you can have a spare saw to grab hold of n carry on etc but as i use mine for reducing arbwaste for myself and 3 others who help with the producing logs for our own use one i share my logs with helps me pick the stuff up and the other 2 own the land i store my wood on but help splitting/petrol and help themselves to my wood pile as and when they want it it works well but i,am the only one to use a chainsaw as you all know ask all sorts questions on here as your all mostly trained experts on & in chainsaw use info etc and as i hav,nt the moneys to throw about at chainsaws i asked do you as i do clean/lube blow out with the airline rub the chain up ready for its next day out etc sorry to ramble on too
