I,ve built a log/work shelter about 50ft long 12ft high sloping down to 9ft against a pallaside fence for ventilation for my firwood pile but the problem i have is i,ve got 3 large mature trees i,ve had to build the roof around all with big six roofing sheets so now have water running along the roof sheets then straight into the log shelter where the tree pops through the roof" as anyone else had this problem its not my land or trees so cant & dont want to cut,em down birds nature etc i,ve got bird feeders on the go and nest boxes in the roof so want an easy way around stopping water running in all over the wood any diy advice ideas would be greatfully recieved thanks

  17. what do you do with the bars after there kippered can a damascas knife thingy be made from a bar or grind it down for a kinderling axe lol
  18. gridded plate as in like pushing a spud through to make chips ? . As far as i know you will have to have very good wood no knotty stuff because at 30 ton something has to give if you doing arb waste stick with a knife and make a decent 4 way splitter to fit over the knife for any decent stuff. As for the engine if you go big then big fuel go small and use a 2 stage hydraulic pump if you going to make it on a road towable trailer as it will be a pain to push around if its over engineered big donkey engine big ram (big weight) etc unless you have a tractor to make use of the hydraulics
  19. i will watch this post with great interest as i,am looking at trying a rocket stove as on youtube as i,ve no way of making a brew on my plot but never thought there was such a device to boil water and now discovered a kelly kettle too but the rocket stove can cook as well as boil water
  20. and a man who,s mad/brave enough to use it lol
  21. yes it was a dud coil but with the honda coil on the timing was out with only having one bolt hole lining up was getting spark at wron time and the exhaust manifold was glowing red/yellow when running but on fitting the new coil setting the air gap etc it ran a treat but still had glowing exhaust on the cylinder with new coil fitted so after swapping coils round changing plugs etc worked out that there is only a very very small air gap to circulate air from the flywheel through the head fins and tin cover around the cylinder head/barrell as as i was workg in the dark it was hard to work out that the cylinder that had,nt been working for a whileand its cooling fins blocked thus no airflow on one side of the engine so that cylinder was working but not cooling thus the red/yellow exhaust port i even had the exhaust system off to check valves was ok and not burning fuel in the exhaust instead of the cylinder sorted it in the end though but was a head scratcher and had me baffled for a while we never stop learning do we ?
  22. did you ever get the rayco sorted out an update would be good incase anyone else has same probbs etc
