  1. Morning, clear blue sky here and a definite nip in the air, out delivering logs this aft and getting more out ready to load in the morning,
  2. I think that was about bottom limit of dry over the wk end, but 12/14 miles SE of Southport they had 40mm of rain Friday and another 12mmsat morning, one if my daughters don't live far from Southport and when I spoke to her Sunday she said it hadn't rained much, 10 miles in land from us rain from 4pm Thurs till Sat morning,,
  3. Only just mist it but morning,, pissing down here and set to last till about 4ish, we had sat,sun and Monday that where fantastic days with temps in mid teens and dry,,
  4. Yes, all go into the food chain, we can take what ever we want, weather it be 2 or 30 birds, they will of gone to a game dealer this morning then some will appear in local butchers and a small local super market, we get 50p a bird then you see em in butchers as a dressed oven ready local wild duck for £4,99,,
  5. Morning, borderline frost here this morning,, we had a nice warm dry day yesterday, but wet underfoot, had 2 dogs out yesterday and both worked well, total bag was 228,, forcast is dry again here today,, 20231021_173659.mp4
  6. Morning, nice here, dry and still with what looks like a chance of a bit of current bun this morning,, out picking up on a shoot today and forecast is dry 😀,,
  7. Bit late here,, I not been present for a few days as been in the process of changing phone network supplier over hence gad no phone,, changed from 02 that I have been with for 30+yrs and had very few issues till of late, I have found them totally US at trying to sort the issue and they seemed not interested at all,, gone to EE that seems much better around here and it's half the price of 02,,
  8. Morning all,, had a good but busy wk end here, was out picking up on our first shoot day and TBH it was a much better day than was expected, birds flew well and the weather was kinder to us than forecast just 2 showers but the first one was a heavy one and the 2nd not to bad,, frost here last 2 mornings ,,,
  9. Morning,, been raining here since about 1am and yes it's still at it, supposed to clear up this aft,, first day out picking up on our shoot tomorrow and weather do t look to bad let's hope it holds out,,
  10. As will said no local requirement, but if some one is asking for it to be loler certified I don't see why not,, Scott would be a good shout or try Dave blakey either could know sone one,,
  11. Morning bright clear morning here and 3 degrees, supposed to be wall to wall sunshine all day but only just getting in to double figures ,,
  12. Morning not much chance of frost here, pissed down all night and forecast till dinner, anyone seen next weeks forecast ?? it is looking very good from sat onwards,,lets see how right they are !!
  13. Morning all,, yesterday was a sign of May be what's to come weather wise, farms mowing grass all round here, choppers, tractors n trailers going in every direction, talking to one lad yesterday and his sisters fella had done a straight 30hrs shift chopping maze from 8am Sunday till 2pm Monday, every credit to em all, as I think this small weather window we have could be the last chance saloon 🤔
  14. Morning,, had a busy wk end rubbing down and painting truck cab while the temps are up,,going now to put last coat of paint on it,,
  15. Its a wounder there was any rain left in them clouds by time it got to you,,, 72mm here in 36hr,,
  16. Oh dear,, that in my book is down the Rd matey, just say something happened where someone else got hurt where would you be be ?? you could save yourself a load of hassle and get rid of him,,
  17. Stump gringing I know very little about TBH, only thing I know is hire shop up Rd has one and it seems to be out often,, and lad next door but one drives one but that's about 600hp strapped to it,,
  18. Only thing you can do is try, different parts of the country will be way different from yours,, please correct me but are you SW Scotland ?. I tried this about 10 Yr ago and TBH I got one enquiry,, this was advertised in a small tool hire shop as well, the guy in the shop said he got asked if he had a log splitter regularly and would just point the add out on the wall,, The splitter I made is quit quick and I can get 2 IBC crates split in an hr if it's reasonable timber and its behind me in rings,, I think the biggest issue is most potential customes can't visage what you could do in half or a full day,, Then again areas will matter as well, where I am most people will be just average working people but go 35 mile down the Rd and your on the outskirts of Manchester with loads of professional pen pushers/office people, now that would be different but it's them people who would have a stove fitted and just use it over the Christmas holidays as they won't get there hands dirty pushing a button on the boiler,, I think it's just a try it and see what happens,,,
  19. Yes I am fine here,, its the village where Nicola Bully went missing,, about a mile n a half from me,,
  20. Morning , well another wet shitty blustery morning here,, I think it's rained for near on 36hrs now and still chucking it down, the village just down the Rd has been put on a Amber flood warning by the EA,,

    HS2 Over

Personally I think it should of never been started and the money spent elsewhere like on the road (cart track) network we have and flood defences,, we can't run the trains we have now yet alone another lot,, This is from a freind who works on HS2 and in his words,, he goes down to Kent gets put up in a travel lodge, works in a shitty wooden office on a site, come Friday afternoon he gets back in to London to gets train back to Preston and sorry but all cancelled till 6am, so book in to another hotel in central London then get his train morning after, Friday night he should of been out with his wife n kids but it's 11am sat morning when he gets home, parking has run out on train station car park so that's another problem and expense he has to sort out, When the cancellation was rumoured a few wk back I asked if it woukd affect his job, his words where not f******,g bothered I am sick of working with clowns who know FA and get paid 10 times more than me,, if I can't get a train from Euston to Preston on the West Coast main line on a Friday afternoon there not much chance of some one going from London to Glasgow is there,, this guy and myself bothe said there are massive issues ahead for HS2 and one thing for sure I have predicted frombthe start with it is that it will definitely go down on the history books as on of the biggest white elephants in British history !!.
  24. morning,, we have had all most constant rain here since mid afternoon yesterday, just been out and looked in my tub and there will be towards 30mm in it and guess what its still pissing down, due to clear out about 1ish,,
  25. Morning,, well stayed at home,, painted my parts for truck, put TV on fell asleep, went back and painted parts again, made tea put superbikes on that was recorded and fell asleep again ☹️
