Well I said i would report back on Isla,s progress,, sge niw 6 mth and training coming along fine, retrieve mad and it's all to be done in as little time as possible, she really gets her nose down and hunts dummies out well in cover so all going well,, we had a couple of hrs out one aft last wk when I had Purdey (the vets dog) trying to get the pair of em to sit still for 10 seconds was a job in its self,,

Morning,bright n cold here this morning but we are forecast sunshine n showers for most of the day, in building for me sorting more logs out for delivering Friday n Saturday,,

Morning, pissing down again but looks like it could clear up after dinner, off up north Yorkshire now to buy some timber then back to yard for trailer and got 2 log deliverys in South lakes then it will be a early finish for me like about half 5 - 6 o'clock,,

Morning, not been on here for a few days as been running about like a tit in a trance,, log delivery's every day last wk, out on a shoot Saturday and sorting yet more logs out for this wk,, we have been lucky here with weather not much wind but a bit of rain for later part of last wk, Saturday was a dry day but a cool wind and very wet and sticky under foot making it hard going and all dogs on where totally fooked come 4,30pm,,

Morning, it has done a bit of rain over night here but not much, still n bright here ATM but is this the lull before the storm ?? Going out with yet more logs this morning then back in building sorting some lengths of oak out for milling ,,

Morning, cool n damp here think it gives showers for most of the day,, purdey gone home last night so it's just me and Isla today, at least purdey will be able to have a crap in piece this morning,, they fought n squabbled over pieces of bark all aft yesterday,

Morning, Hazy sunshine here ATM but set to be a nice day, going splitting logs again today and trailer to load ready for tomorrow,, we have had the first bout here this morning approx 40 mins and both gone back to bed piss wet through,,

Morning all, FFS that's another wk gone by, it's become silly time here for me, phone ringing 2 or 3 times a day for logs ATM and I can't keep up, going to pick the vets dog up now and she is here for 5 days, got a feeling come Tuesday my lawn will look like a WW11 battle ground 🤨

I think that was about bottom limit of dry over the wk end, but 12/14 miles SE of Southport they had 40mm of rain Friday and another 12mmsat morning, one if my daughters don't live far from Southport and when I spoke to her Sunday she said it hadn't rained much, 10 miles in land from us rain from 4pm Thurs till Sat morning,,

Yes, all go into the food chain, we can take what ever we want, weather it be 2 or 30 birds, they will of gone to a game dealer this morning then some will appear in local butchers and a small local super market, we get 50p a bird then you see em in butchers as a dressed oven ready local wild duck for £4,99,,

Morning, borderline frost here this morning,, we had a nice warm dry day yesterday, but wet underfoot, had 2 dogs out yesterday and both worked well, total bag was 228,, forcast is dry again here today,, 20231021_173659.mp4

Bit late here,, I not been present for a few days as been in the process of changing phone network supplier over hence gad no phone,, changed from 02 that I have been with for 30+yrs and had very few issues till of late, I have found them totally US at trying to sort the issue and they seemed not interested at all,, gone to EE that seems much better around here and it's half the price of 02,,

Morning all,, had a good but busy wk end here, was out picking up on our first shoot day and TBH it was a much better day than was expected, birds flew well and the weather was kinder to us than forecast just 2 showers but the first one was a heavy one and the 2nd not to bad,, frost here last 2 mornings ,,,

Morning all,, yesterday was a sign of May be what's to come weather wise, farms mowing grass all round here, choppers, tractors n trailers going in every direction, talking to one lad yesterday and his sisters fella had done a straight 30hrs shift chopping maze from 8am Sunday till 2pm Monday, every credit to em all, as I think this small weather window we have could be the last chance saloon 🤔
