  1. Great saw, absolutely shit clogging air filter
  2. I absolutely love the new Breathflex Pros with the new lining and slightly better more generous/flexible cut. Great rear vents and find them super cool. Infinitely better than all my my Pfanners and last longer . Best trousers thus far .
  3. Anyone got a link for supplier ?
  4. Yes totally second this. I now have 3 rope bags and there’s not a sign of wear or breaking . Love them . Beautifully made and capacious
  5. I have previously posted this same question as mine wore out after a year and a half . If you think a) not every day is necessarily a climbing day b) sometimes you might only be on some small stuff c) some jobs you’re more on spikes and less ‘rope heavy’ .....I think it’s a bit poor personal. I sent mine back to Petzl which was a joke. They had never heard of Cousin Atrax rope, which when I pointed out had been designed specifically for the Zig Zag and other mechanicals.....their reply was “according to who?” I then bought the latest Zig Zag which is just starting to creep already after less than a year! I shall be buying a Roperunner Pro which has the advantage of better adjustability , supposedly smoother and has replaceable parts that might be subject to wear. As a result of Petzls quite frankly shitty attitude and obvious ignorance to the market place they trade in, I’ll not be choosing Petzl as a brand for anything ....apart from for those salty covered bar snacks.....oh hang on a minute ...[emoji848]
  6. Speak to Jason at Greenmech... he’s like a diluted version of Mack without the Richard Gere looks !! (Love you Jase 🤣)
  7. Ok I think I should now latterly follow up my original post. Based on some suggestions, and like a tight arse recidivist, I bought the Petzl lid. I’m used to Petzl hats, but yet again from the first day I knew it wasn’t for my horse box shaped head. I have persevered with it for too long and thought I’d take the other camps advice eventually after many months of poorly fitting, headache inducing wobbly hat .....I took the advice and bought the Protos. A) what a beautifully designed and engineered piece of work it is B) The options of adjustment are second to none C) The gentle fit and resultant enjoyment are a thing of delight !!! So to all the folk who’s initial advice I was determined might be wrong , you weren’t ! Thank you . I genuinely find this placcy ‘at a treat to don. Lovely stuff. Many thanks brothers [emoji1307]
  8. Either you’re incredibly strong or your springs knackered !! I have to pry mine off with the force of Geoff Capes !! 🤣[emoji1320]
  9. I’ve used both on drt but my SRT technique is woeful. I recently did a swap with my Atrax with my more progressive SRT friend for his Black Widow . We both trialled it on our own equal dispositions , rope style wise.....he asked for his Black Widow back as the Atrax was killing his hands.....,and he has the hands of a blind cobbler!! Personally I’m also glad of the Atrax back as through the Ziggedy Zag with sticky gloves it just flies 🪰. I’m not actually sure any of the above may help though ? [emoji848]
  10. This has been my understanding but I’m just wondering whether anyone has a quotable example in law before I take issue with the tree officer .
  11. Can anyone shed any light on what is the acceptable and legal way to specify the specification of a crown reduction? I have just had a 211 notice returned as ‘Invalid’ after 3 weeks (🤬) post submission as the planning officer has asked for it to be specified in ‘metres to be removed ‘ rather than my submitted spec which was a 25% reduction to strong lateral growth . I’ve never had this before . Surely unless it states on the form that all measurements must be in metres , then my original submission must stand as valid ? What does the panel think [emoji848]🧐
  12. And no the hell do I use two ropes unless I feel I fancy a fresh one that hasn’t been trodden into the mire by my ace Groundsman (and I mean that , just in case he’s reading this) like a Frenchman doing the ‘pigeage’ . Two rope schmoo rope I say !! But I feel for the buggers out there restrained by contractual obligations in their works and that have enforced unnecessary health and safety paradigms [emoji1306]
  13. I’m not sure it is is it ? It’s not a statement it’s a question . I don’t think you can have a question as a false dichotomy that is based upon fact ? ....could be wrong though Jo ? I’m relatively simple if I’m being honest 🥸
  14. If you’re buying it, it’s Willow, but if you’re selling it, it’s Oak ! (Deffo Oak for me by the way )
  15. No wonder we win wars !!!! [emoji15]...[emoji7]...[emoji1306]
  16. I’ve just bought a 550xp mk2 (after everyone on here has beenraving about them !!!) All I could see in the owners manual regarding the bed in/auto tune was to run it for 10 hours in wood . Nowt about anything specifically concerning AutoTune that I saw (but to be honest I did speed read it in the way a teenager brushes over the stories in Razzle to get to the Readers Wives section at the back !!)
  17. Ghost Town-Specials Eye of the Tiger-Survivor Jump -Van Halen (not a survivor Juliet -dire straits She bangs the drum -stone roses (not 80’s!) Rain over Africa -Toto When Doves Cry-Prince . I’ll stop now ....[emoji23]
  18. How are you finding that square filing when a field re-sharpen is called for? That’s what’s put me off the ‘dark art’
  19. Always just used the crane operators chains. Heavy work but tested and adjustable . Never had a problem personally but that’s all I’ve known
  20. Ah to be honest Mick, I’m pretty good at spelling but that one is my arckillys heal [emoji848]
