  1. Almost certainly Blackbird. They don’t re use the nest but will strip it off materials for the next broods nest. I thoroughly recommend this book, it’s a thing of beauty and incredibly detailed in its information
  2. Great info , thank you. Not keen on the look of that SP33 chain though . Bumper drive links….never a fan. I do have a Sugihara bar on my tweaked ms200 but I found the oil hole too small and had to drill it out. Not that impressed if I’m honest. I do like the Tsumura Light on the Stihl 46 though, goes like absolute stink with a double ported muffler and a bit of Dremelling .
  3. Cuts 15% quicker ??? [emoji15] Jesus, the thing already cuts like a Lazer . I shall be investing in the setup once I’m through the current chains . Nice one Joe and thank you Spudders for the explanation [emoji1307][emoji481]
  4. Almost exclusively Goldfinches with the occasional Siskin (but very rarely ) . I’ve had over 20 Goldfinches on the feeders and on the ground in the snow when I guess other food was more scarce . The one bird I crave for but have only had once is the Bullfinch. Always had them in the bird table as a kid but very rarely see them anywhere anymore . We did used to get flocks of well over fifty , possibly pushing double that, in a huge Sycamore in the neighbouring church yard, but unfortunately I was tasked with removing it last year as half of it died, so that alas is the end of that. Very sad. To hear that many all wittering was beautiful
  5. Ah now I’ve had this with both peanuts and Niger seed before. Just a riffy batch and the birds wouldn’t touch them although to me they looked fine. Threw the whole lot away and bought fresh and they were back within days
  6. Are you feeding Niger and sunflower seeds ? I stopped feeding the birds for possibly 8 months as I didn’t want a concentration of wild birds over our grazing ducks and chickens in the garden. Within 1 week there is a constant stream of Goldfinches and Greenfinch’s that have very quickly found the feeders again . But notably the magpies and jays aren’t about .
  7. After yesterday I can personally attest to this being a spectacularly bad idea, unless you want a face full of your own micturition……which I didn’t…….Eunice however had other plans. Not my best moment let me tell you 🤢
  8. Trango Vergo ROCKRUN.COM The Trango Vergo is a performance orientated, safety inspired assisted breaking belay device, designed for indoor wall and sport climbing. Emphasising ergonomics and human-device interaction, the Vergo delivers exceptionally safe performance. There are clear physical and visual indicators to reaffirm correct usage, and the geometry takes the easiest path, which Trango have made the safest path, and so the likelihood of misuse is reduced. There is never a need to override the belay device, even when feeding slack for a clip. Smooth feeding and lowering complete the experience. The Vango's ability to perform and versatility will be appreciated by all sport and gym climbers. SpecificationGuide Mode: NoLock Mechanism: AutolockingNumber of Ropes: OneCarabiner Included: NoHandles Single Ropes from 8.9 to 10.7mmWeight: 195g This is the Cinch replacement . I’ve not tried it but looks like it operates the same and is smaller
  9. How does he find the grip with the Vibram sole ? I just do not get on with Vibram soles apart from on my La Sportivas, but they are too soft to stand in tight forks . These do look like a nicely designed boot though . Very tempted
  10. As Gand, works a treat. Just only do it when you absolutely need to as the weight bias in the drum isn’t preferred by your average washing machine. The rope comes out like new
  11. You swarthy dirtilist [emoji23]
  12. The only time they visit a church is to nick the lead
  13. Oh crikey please don’t say from the fillings of the deceased ? [emoji15]
  14. What size are you , I’m selling mine size 43 . Pretty much as new . They weren’t for me unfortunately
  15. Hi Joe, does this saw not come as standard with the .325 chain ? I know mine did. Much better though with the Stihl R/S 3638 000 0064 chain without the bumper drive links aye ? [emoji1307]
  16. Do you have any legal cover as part of your insurance/s that may cover legal expenses?
  17. I’d order the Panther chain over the Stihl though as the Panther has no gay bumper drive links and as such bores and cuts quicker [emoji6]
  18. I bought my friend and Groundsman one of these last year for his 50th . I only sliced a couple of tomatoes (ahhh the old tomato test aye) , but it was a thing of beauty . Gorgeous balance, very light and looks beautiful. I honestly very nearly kept it . Damask steel ….[emoji7] Seto Iseya G4 VG10 33 Layer Gyuto Chefs Knife (210mm) WWW.CHEFSLOCKER.CO.UK Beautifully layered, this knife combines razor sharpness and durability with ease of sharpening. A narrower blade here also makes the knife perfect for carving.VG10 high carbon steel is the gold standard and a Chefs favourite exclusively produced in Japan. Superb edge retention, incredibly quick to sharpen and resistant to corrosion.
  19. F R Jones are showing stock of the 10” stihl bar. I think it may last long than the Panther version. I’ve got through 3 in a year, but in fairness only just fitted my Stihl after taking Mark Bolams advice. He’s a metal guru 🤪
  20. That’s what they want you to think …,
  21. If it’s any consolation , this is my TRAPPED rat count from last year as owing to our estate ‘manager’ clearing a neighbours shit tip without first poisoning the rats . As expected all they did was migrate . We normally get a few in the Fenn traps but this last year was bonkers. This was as well as occasional poisoning which I personally don’t like due to proximity of dogs and hedgehogs etc (In case you’re wondering what the (iiii) are in brackets……one of them gave birth in one of the live catch traps !!!! I would suggest that unless you are especially canny at trapping rats, they will become ‘trap shy’ , especially the older ones who’ve had a close call or ran over their trapped mate ! Good luck
  22. Bloody small neck at 4” !! [emoji15][emoji23] Good get a bit awkward
