  1. I'd buy a Defender 110. Everything in the back is safe. Good off road. British.
  2. Which means people just buy a chinese jobby off ebay. No income tax No VAT No money back No guarantee Black or white Rich or poor Chop your hands off let blood pour!
  3. Ok, Ireland. I was going to let you try my JD, but I think you could buy one for what it would cost to get to you.
  4. Where are you located Hiluxstihl
  5. These are brilliant. No need to bag the cuttings as they're mulched down to dust by the mower. I even use it to mulch up grass I've cut with the Brushcutter (longer stuff). You can even run it over 10" grass and it'll mulch, although there's a side discharge chute for super long meadow grass, if you want to work quicker. Great mowers. https://www.deere.co.uk/en_GB/products/equipment/walk_behind_mowers/mulching_mowers/js_63_v/js_63_v.page
  6. Having read this I'm going to limit my coke intake to two pints before driving. Snorting more than that makes the throat a little dry anyway.
  7. Get well soon. Maybe your terrible experience will serve as a wake up call for those of us (me) who could do more to preserve their health, in terms of diet and excercise? Now where did I put those kettle bells?
  8. 1100 or 1200 Dunc?
  9. In these situations aim low, a bit like tipping. Your friend probably has a figure in mind but has played the old "just give me what you think it's worth" card. They are gambling that you'll feel obliged to go in high, and they'll get the better deal. Your job now is to scupper this attempt by going in way below their expectations, say £15. They will then either grudgingly accept and shuffle off disappointed, or come clean with their expected fee. Either way, you won't be paying over the odds, and it's unlikely you'll need to use them for this service again, so hey ho.
  10. Better late than never.
  11. I can wholeheartedly recommend Wetherspoons. Cheap and full of people less successful than your good self.
  12. Buy a Makita 5121 promo outfit. Search the recent posts on the subject from Duncan R for more details. They're made by Dolmar and are less prone to 'hassles' than the Husqvarna and Stihl units (allegedly). Oh and they're just over 300 snots to buy. Bargeeeeeeen.
  13. Damn, you sorted yourself out before I could post a pub related joke. Actually you didn't but I resisted for the sake of seriousness.
  14. Hey Dangerous Dunc! Glad you're enjoying the saw I advised you to buy! Would have sucked if you hated it, right? Wyk makes me laugh with his comments, he's a natural comedian. Did you keep the little Stihl in the end? Tried using it after a stint with the Makita to compare the difference yet? Cheers .
  15. Looks a bit like an online CV. To the OP, might be worth pinging your geographical location if your objective is to get employment. After 20 years of self employment are you sure you want to be told what to do and when by a boss? Good luck whatever you decide.
  16. Come to think of it, I had half of a five litre jug of the very same stuff a while back, left over from when I was running an NSR250. I used it in my FS90 and some Shindaiwa hedge trimmer until it ran out and it seemed good stuff. I might start some oil-sperimentation myself soon.
  17. I've got pubes younger than some of the fuel I've been using and don't use any fancy oil. No problems whatsoever. I think the Internet has demasculated the populous to the point where big hairy lumberjack types now over analyse everything. I have three grades of fuel. 1. Diesel 2. Petrol 3. Some wierd hibred lash up which I'm not sure of which may have two stroke oil plus both the above in but I can't sniff it any longer. Barbecue lighting fluid.
  18. so many jokes. So little time!
  19. Looked at the Tempur but the price put me off. If it doesn't go bang or have an engine I resent paying through the nose (paint, wallpaper, bathroom suites, mattresses, carpet, all boring). I ended up buying a cheaper make from ebay which arrived in a shrink wrapped roll to my puzzlement. Once unwrapped it unravelled and took a day or so to 'plump up'. Took some getting used to and like someone else said, you don't move much in the night as you tend to sink into it and get 'wedged' in a you shaped groove. I haven't had the yearly sciatica in the last few years, and generally sleep well. I don't find it hot. When I can be bothered to get off my bottom I'll find out what brand it is and update you.
  20. Live The Dream!
  21. Let us know how you get on. I thought the oil threads on motorcycle forums were heated..they got nothing on you chainsaw dudes!
  22. Now that's the Blue Peter spirit!

    Stove

I know the owner of 'Teknic Stoves' and have for many years. The stoves are well made as this guy also makes HGV inspection pits amongst other things, so he's a thorough and experienced fabricator. He also happens to be a nice bloke, and as stated, it's all made in Hereford, not a scrap of Chinese funk to be seen! I know the margins are good on these stoves for him, so it might be worth trying to organise a collective price if a number of members all wanted to buy. That way you'd all get a bit off, and he'd have a new sales channel.
  24. More worrying than the slight build up of surface mould is what appears to be a 'Tiger Flap' in the door.
  25. Oh and while we're at it. 'Moonshiners' is just ridiculous, it reminds me of the Dukes of Hazard but with hard liquor.
