  1. I'd better put my pants back on then!
  2. Sorry to derail your thread, I can't help. McCulloch are the same saws as Husqvarna??
  3. Not so much Father Christmas, and Father Visa!
  4. Jon, used to keep ducks, got fed up with feeding the local foxes Want to go back to self sufficiency. I like to know what I'm putting in my mouth. Plus I love duck eggs!
  5. Well that's opened my eyes to more weird practices! Personally I prefer the paleo lifestyle with a good local meat supplier. I go for organic where possiblle, and intend to get back to growing my own veg and keeping my own fowl. Commercially available food is generally nutrient poor and worthless. I'm no food Saint, but I know what's excrement rather than excellent.
  6. This is what you need Jon. I've got two, and bought my dad one too. He loves it for late night dog walking in the wood. And they rechargeable. In an emergency you can wang some batteries in. Ace torches, had mine a few years. Maglite ML125 LED Rechargeable Torch | GO Outdoors If you haven't got a GoOutdoors card, just add it to our order, it's peanuts, and then you'll get a year of other discounts. Trust me, they're ace, better than LED Lenser crap.
  7. Hi Shavey, Got a late night stay of execution as the missus went to bed, so I've PM'd you already. Not expecting a reply till the morning, no rush.
  8. Hi Shavey, I'd like a price please mate. I'll PM you tomorrow to request one. Thanks.
  9. Just to clarify. It wasn't me who was subject to the 'contamination', but a female student who was studying at Birmingham Uni. She'd suffered some gastrointestinal complaints and other ill effects and visited her doctor. Some blood tests revealed she appeared to have an 'active social life' but the girl was completely abstaining from those 'activities'. After some further probing by the doctor into her lifestyle, it turned out she ate 2 - 3 times a week at a local 'curry house' which welcomes students. Following further investigations by Environmental Health Officers, the place was found to have widespread contamination of their 'sauces' with the DNA of numerous persons 'gentleman seed' and as a result they were shut down and prosecuted. This story (from a good friend I had no reason to disbelieve) was enough to put me off for life. Curry is easy to make at home though. So no worries
  10. I haven't eaten in an (English) Indian restaurant for over twenty years. I had one in Sweden a few years ago, not through choice. The reason was an account of 'contamination' that I'd learnt of locally to where I worked and ate back in the day. The details I will keep away from this family friendly forum. Just to say, the kitchen was found to be clean. The ingredients were found to contain 'numerous' unwanted additives of an organic and exclusively male origin. This was after blood tests.
  11. I'm not being funny (nothing new there) .. But it'd be nice if the Dolmar vendors would just publish some kind of website or price list to save all the foreplay and jiggery pokery in finding out whether a red monster is within our price ranges. I walk out of shops where nothing is priced, not because I wouldn't buy anything there, but because I feel embarrassed to keep asking. On the flip side, I've bought thousands and thousands of pounds worth of stuff because the price looked good!
  12. So to summarise. They are the same in either colour. Prices vary. They are fun to use. They are overkill. Shavey doesn't sell them. Someone else does. No prices are available for the Dolmar flavours. Rob D can provide any sized bar required for one of these? If I've got all that correct..am I insane thinking my best bet is to buy a Makita as cheap as I can find one and stick a 15" bar on for insane cutting speeds?
  13. I was going to just P.M Shavey and TDC, but thought it better to keep this in an open forum for the benefit of others wondering. What is the difference on this particular (flagship?) model in each guise other than colour? Is it an over ambitious proposition for a home user, even if they known hey don't need one? Also what sort of prices have people found either model at?
  14. I bought a hop handle saw a few years back.. Sold it in the end. It always cut on the pi$$
  15. I'd try The Passport Office and DVLA as a starting point. Remind the cat not to smile or wear headgear in the photographs. Good luck!
  16. I like my chainsaws like my women...
  17. So what's next bro? 9010?
  18. I think it's stable as long as sealed. If you're worried I'll take them off your hands at £2 per litre.
  19.:thumbup: Me too, hating my two German engineered, a German built Makitas, made by the people who invented the chainsaw. Almost as much as I loathe my two terrible German made, German designed Solo saws, particularly as they wear yellow pyjamas which is soooo uncool.:thumbup: #daretobedifferent
