  5. RED ALERT weather warning issued for Wales & NWest http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/nw/nw_forecast_warnings.html
  6. At least your mates blessed with a good pub, The Green Dragon. Mark the owner used to have one of the pubs in our village, cracking bloke. Yes we have a covering of snow, but if am more concerned about the wind later, looks like I may be busy tomorrow? PM sent
  7. Looks like a lot of work on the way for some........ Met Office: UK: severe weather warnings Saturated ground and severe gales....not good....as someone once said.."let's be careful out there"
  8. Ok I'll admit it was me.......just send me back something nice in return..... Usual address. (This is where I need to add a winking emoticon......but don't know how ((iPad on the app)) so you will have to guess its a joke)
  9. If you look on the right hand side it gives date and time of post.........looks like 4 mins not 3 seconds.... I would put laughing emoticons in now...but I don't know how on my iPad....embarrassed one would be here
  10. Looks like the climb up to Cairngorm car park from Glenmore
  11. Audio visual, anti-viral......or anti-vibration in this case.
  12. Meant to get some sunset pix on the way home from the woods.......but was just 'smelling the roses' after a cracking day in the woods in Swaledale and driving home s l o w l y savouring the sunset, which you have captured wonderfully.
  13. The problem with this idea is that a members rating would be based on how many people his/her reply appealed to. Similar to saying Mc Donald's is the best fast food and The Sun is the best newspaper as they are most popular in their sector. Popularity isn't a reflection of quality...see also U2, Top Gear, Russell Brand....etc etc. Ahhhhh....... Now you see what I mean. One mans meat....... But.....it has to be said, just because someone posts frequently, it shouldn't make them a 'senior member'. It bestows knowledge and experience, not the fact they are on Arbtalk a lot. Surely better just to display number of posts?
  14. Pics pls
  15. Spending hundreds of thousands of pounds in exercising their political agenda.
  16. Why would it affect clutch bearings?
  17. I'm right behind you
  18. So what's the best way of (overloading)...sorry..... up rating a 110 hi cap to carry 2x m3 bags of freshly felled timber?
  19. Yes. This was brought up 2 or 3 yrs ago. Can't remember if I started the thread or contributed. I use Meindl 'gamekeeper' boots....mebs called Antarktis? And presumed chainsaw boots would fit similar. WRONG........had to send my airstreams back and get a size bigger to my normal Meindls. Annoying......but ace boots!
  20. As I said re. chassis........any problems up rating cos I would love to be able to carry 2 m3 bags of fresh in my 110 hi-cap but scared........will the chassis cope? Btw not bothered about the legality........anarchist me! Tbh 90% driving is on private tracks.....
  21. Next Wednesday has a chance of being interesting.....Peckerwoo where art thou?
  22. Ahh I see. Makes sense BUT what about that poor rusting chassis?
  23. 20 odd yrs ago, working with BTCV. We were fencing an area to plant native broadleaves which was a games pitch/dog sh one T area. Spent all morn doing strainers (by digging) and rolling netting out amongst dog treats. Come dinner time in the minibus a tub of halva (non hippies will have to Wiki it!!!) was passed round with everyone digging in. I declined, pointing out the mornings activities....................there were no more takers.
  24. What's the point in a "lift". Surely just use beefier springs?
  25. Cheers. Video eh........might have a go. Trouble at the moment is it's too wet to lead the wood, so everything is being manhandled to track-side to take to processor later on when and if it ever dries up a bit. It is lovely coming home with clean bags and just lifting them off with the tractor. No mess.
