  4. Interesting thread, one grandad was a bulldozer driver in the royal engineers and the other grandad worked for the old Thames water ( metropolitan water board ) in south east London. When I was young I remember the dozer driver calling the other one a war dodger after a couple of beers at family gatherings !
  5. The forecast says that it could get worse overnight for you boys in the south and southeast !
  6. I agree with the above comments, i had a 7.5 ton and then went to a 12 ton and its much better. If you can afford it get a bigger truck with a crane on it ?

  8. I ordered a bar Wednesday night at 9pm and it arrived today. 1st class service especially at this time of year. Thanks Rob.
  9. Exactly the same here, no complaints though. If I'm logging something up with a guy with a pre x Torq 372, mine cuts quicker and is far more economical on fuel. I haven't heard of any major problems from the dealers ?
  10. Hiya Jon, Really blowing here in Wales, just had 5 mins real hard rain like I've never seen before. Set the car alarms off and house lights are flickering.
  11. Thats shocking that the trigger was even pulled when the gun was at a low enough angle to come anywhere near you. That gun won't be coming back ! Glad your ok Matt.
  12. Fair play that's a big lump of wood to see being lifted away from you !
  13. Had one if the tool loops break on my sequoia today, I moved in the tree with the saw hanging and it got stuck. MS200T dropped and got caught on some ivy which was lucky. It's the first loop on the right hand side that I always clip the saw into, keep an eye on them boys !
  14. Hi Adam, Are you still making the hitchclimber tethers ?
  15. Nice one, I'll be in touch.
  16. Is your L200 a new shape on a 2006 or still the older model ?
  17. Hi Tim, I didn't think David had one but I'll try him tomorrow. Thanks
  18. There based in bedlinog near Merthyr. I would think its worth trying all the firms you can find around you area, you never know what might turn up. Good luck with it anyhow.
  19. Have you tried smerdons Tree services ?
  20. Thanks slack, like the way your thinking. I've given it a good tap and a probe today and I know what I'm thinking but the LA tree officer wants a picus done before he makes a decision it.
  21. Evening all, I need a Picus survey carried out on a tree near Aberystwyth in mid wales, has anyone got any contact details of someone that could help me out. Thanks in advance.
  22. You can get hold of loads of softwood around this way but loads of processor size hardwood is pretty hard to find. If you manage to find any hardwood there are a few boys I know that would be interested.
  23. These are being used in NRW (the new name for FC in Wales) in woodlands in mid Wales.
