  1. Do they stay real waterproof without putting anything on them ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. 10 years ago I had a pick up stolen from my drive when I was asleep. I'm glad I didn't hear them. Just imagine being woken up, running out there in your boxer shorts rubbing your eyes. The thieving scumbags are going to be buzzing and they ain't gonna be standing there with feather dusters ! Protect your gear guys but be careful what you do if the worst happens. 3. Look up City suburban tree surgeons, they have got a yard near to you. Their always on the lookout for staff. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Good bat roost potential in that cavity in one of the last bits, shame it couldn't stay at that height ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  8. I done my tank a few years back. Not that bad a job once you get into it. Remove tank, cut a hole in the fuel side of the tank on the top big enough to get your hand or any tools you need into. I cleared all the rust and crap out, then cut another piece of steel bigger than the hole. I made a gasket out of a tyre inner tube and then sealed in back up with self tappers. 9. Anyone know of any non x Torq new 372xp around ? I wouldn't mind a xpg Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Seen a few snipe over the last couple of weeks. Not as many woodcock this winter though. Know what you mean about being shot out, when I was younger I'd always walk the dog round the fields with the shotgun in hand and go lamping maybe twice a week. Nowadays the sofa gets more attention than the guns ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Just been for a 2 hour walk along the coastal path, with the sun setting over the Irish Sea and not a breath of wind, dare I say, it felt like spring was here. What a difference from a week ago. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. I agree with the above comment 100%, brought my first 372 in 2008, very happy with everything about it. So at the APF last year I brought another but that one was the X Torq version. Very disappointed with it, there's a slight hesitation on pickup and when you release the throttle the revs don't close down instantly and the chain can run on for a couple of seconds. Can be a pig to start sometimes and it don't like the cold mornings. Seems no different power and fuel use wise. If it ain't broke don't change it comes to mind ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Unless you need a machine tomorrow, I'd take a few weeks and get as many of the firms to bring you a demo machine and see what you fancy and can afford. Don't write off the 750kg Jensen as being not up to the job especially as you have got an newer type of driving license. They all have their pro's and con's, you get what you pay for there's not a machine out there that is perfect. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. I know its not a greenmech but i thought id stick my thoughts in. Used a new Jensen A530 750kg contractor chipper today. Very, very impressed. Love the new feed in/out/stop controls, no buttons just touch sensitive pads. Tows very well, easy to push around on site when not chipping into a truck. Throws the chip well and the chip is of good quality. I'd say its the best 6" tow along machine I've ever used. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. I've tried all sorts of set ups over the years and I can highly recommend the knut, it grabs the rope straight away every time and seems to never lock up for me. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. I was always told that if you hold of a branch / twig, spruce needles feel sharp and will hurt your hand and Douglas fir needles feel soft and ok to handle. Just a little trick to help you ID them Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. I'm going to Carmarthen on the 24th April. Any other takers ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Exactly, i bet its going to have no more punch than the 201. Husky have to abide by the same rules as the rest. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. A friend of mine went on a husky training day a few weeks back and he was told they were going to try for a May release but looks like it may be more like September ! Emission problems which means they are looking at the carbs apparently. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  22. Sorry, I don't speak German well enough. I would of thought them poplars hitting the deck even with the digger lowering them down like that are going to smash up a fair bit anyhow. Only my thoughts on what I'm seeing. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Thanks John. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
