  1. if its only tracked to the connector the loom is or was around £50 plus fitting which you can do yourself if your good on spanners or couple of hours at dealer ! quick fix is to use electrical cleaner on the plug / socket see if it make difference and go from there there are cases where its bad and filled half the ecu up with oil ! ;(
  2. also how old is it has it had an injector wireing harness can be worth checking out the ecu conector isnt tracking with oil over it worth a quick visit to The LAND ROVER ADDICT Forums - Index do a serch on td5 running problems orr join and post there a helpfull bunch there David

When out doing the alps tour one of our guys had a td5 110 on the way up to valdesere the tubo let go it sheared the shaft one end so it wouldnt spin ! was slugish and well smoked well ! also could be something like the mass air flow sensor on its way out or kaked up then it will be sending the ecu the wrong info there is also a crank speed sensor on the bell housing and i have heard that this can collect muck on it (i think its amagnetic proximity sensor ) and also give false readings and people who have cleaned it report it makes a good difference

  8. luckaly my tank is bolted to the side of the machine so it was not to difficult ! yours being a 98 machine and probably been filled from cans etc over the years i bet there is loads of old smeg in the bottom make sure that the dip pipe into the tank is clean too !
  9. i had same isssues on my Pezzolato i had to take tank off in end and steam clean it out ! worked a treat and been good as gold since ! the lift / priming pump may have a gauze in it to that would need cleaning other than that make sure all hoses and pipe work is sound and tight ! see how it goes !   11. when i was working for a static caravan guy we used 1" 8x4s sawn length ways down the middle and used some blue poly prop as handles ! great as sites didnt like you tearing up there grass between vans ! lol
  12. some are timer controlled and run at set times for set number ofminutes / hours etc
  13. all ill say is i hope kuhmo have changed there compound ! with a load on or trailer it was sometimes like i was on ice skates ! General Grabber make some good budget tyres grip well cost good !
  14. 235/85 16s or 265 / 75 16s 265s are wider butlower profile so wont affect speado enough ! not on a LR anyway lol Goodrich rubber is better in the wet IMO i get to drive lots of LRs in all condtions with different tyres and out of the muds i have driven on the BFGs were the best the Kuhmos were um scary !
  15. OMG ! But does produce a good chip sample and its easy to adjust !
  16. unlike most kit the chipper drowns out the noise from the engine so if you dont realise it its to late usually ! dont forget to check the ring gear before fitting the new one just to be sure
  17. Piece of cake as im an ag fitter by trade lol ! Not difficult at all get good 20 amp rated push button and use good cable and conectors and fit it in the cable that feeds the small solinoid actuation cable on the started motor !
  18. yes and we got round it buy putting a push button in series to the starter solinoid so you have to turn and hold the key then press the button in to start !

  20. I know a guy that does aluminium Fabrication and built his 130 three way tipper ground up on new chassis ! PM me if you want his number
  21. just make sure you get regular Fert deliverys and some doggy VW golfs calling with blacked out windows stopping by at odd times they the rozzers will get a call from any local curtain twitchers lol
  22. I like Cedar of lebanon there are some nice ones in Stanmer park Brighton and there is one on the hill side in Lynmouth great looking trees !
