    Fake 395XP

husqvarna 395xp chainsaw | eBay What do people do when they spot a fake - message the seller or just report it straight to the ebay police.
  5. The local wildlife trust might be interested. Give them a call. There also might be tax benefits to the client in making a donation: Tax efficient giving to charity: the basics : Directgov - Money, tax and benefits
  6. Do a search for 'ebay vpp scam' - seems it is quite a common scam.
  7. I reckon it is a scam. There does seem to be something called VPP in the US but you do not pay any money into a holding account. It is blanket cover for all vehicles bought of ebay motors. And it only cover motors in the US and Canada not UK.
  8. I reckon gorse is awesome. The colours at this time of year is great. If over time you want to replace with trees just plant in and around it. As the trees close off the canopy they will kill it anyway.
  9. Selway E-commerce website They also do plain ones. They are stitched along the top and open along the bottom. You fill them upside down, fold over a few times and then staple. Then when you flip the bag over it is stitched along the top and looks 'proper'
  10. http://www.timber-dragon.com/assets/pdfs/TC1%20prices%20&%20options.pdf I think the road going one was £5750 +VAT.
  11. TIMBER CRANE, Forestry Crane, 2 Ton Load,Easy Manoeuvre & Any VehicleTow L@@K | eBay That is not far off what they cost new either!
  12. I got an email from Atkinson Vos the other day saying they had stopped selling the Timber Dragon. The are applying for a CE mark but apparently do not have time to finish the paper work at the moment. They say they will start selling it again when the have had time to complete the CE process.
  13. Forestry Commission - Felling licences exemptions It is only 5m3 per quarter if you don't sell it. Otherwise it is 2m3.
  14. The Woodsmith's Store: Spare Handle, round - Green Woodworking Tools - Green Woodworking Accessories
  15. This is what I had in my boat: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2MeKxYpraY]Feidong Two Cylinder diesel engine - YouTube[/ame] Skip to 1 min 20 secs when he fire it up!
  16. What engine does your tractor have? I used to own a boat with a 2cyl Chinese engine in it - 26HP. It was a copy of a 1950 English design and was absolutely awesome. They used the same engine in tractors - it think it was called a 295? Anyway it was a lovely slow revving engine and could move a 10 ton boat with ease. Again they were banned because of emissions.
  17. What timber are you thinking of using? Larch?
  18. For small things, that only take a few minutes, my local garage doesn't bother charge me. The again they charge me shed loads for all the 'big' things that go wrong. Go to love owning a Land Rover.
  19. And yet there are plenty of products without CE marks. What I am trying to get to the bottom of is if I buy something without a CE mark and it causes an accident. Am I going to be held responsible somehow?
  20. As I understand it a tractor can be: 1. road registered. Which means it has V5, license plate, tax disc and can drive on the road. It can only run on white diesel. Does it need an MOT? 2. agri registered. Which has free tax disc, license plate? V5? No MOT and can drive on the road under some circumstances. It can run on red diesel. 3. not be registered at all. No V5, No Tax Disc, No MOT and can only drive off road or on the back of a trailer. Can it be run on red diesel? Can someone help correct my assumptions and fill in the blanks. Cheers.
  21. What, if any is the legal implication of using equipment with out a CE mark?
  22. Thanks - I will try the suggested companies. I have considered driving it. Its not road registered and top speed is 21mph so unlikely to out run the long arm of the law! The other option is of course to drive over with a trailer and get it. Its not so far but the ferry is not cheap and Liverpool - Belfast is eight hours each way!
  23. Hi guys I need to get a compact tractor moved from Northern Ireland to North Wales. I have placed adverts on shiply and uship but not found the right offer yet. It is only small - under 3.5m and 1200kg. Access is trick at the delivery end so would suit a single car transporter. Could also drop off at a local tractor dealer with ramps if that helped. Does anyone know of a haulier that comes over on the ferry? Or an outfit that does car delivery or similar? Cheers
  24. 1.5 tonnes is better than the 1 tonne alpine I was looking at. Very roughly to work out if something will tip you multiply the distance by the weight. So a 500kg log on the end of a 3 metre crane needs 1500kg.to balance it. (3m x 500kg) And an 800kg log at 2 meters needs 1600kg (2m x 800kg) So the problem is you can quite easily pick up a log that will tip the tractor. Then again you are not supposed to put a front loader on an alpine but Tom D seem to manage fine with his!
