  1. I would want proof that the golf course had given permisson regardless of who is paying.
  2. I think this will be covered by permitted development: The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 And I think it will be part 4: PART 4 TEMPORARY BUILDINGS AND USES Class A A. Permitted development The provision on land of buildings, moveable structures, works, plant or machinery required temporarily in connection with and for the duration of operations being or to be carried out on, in, under or over that land or on land adjoining that land. And I think this means that you can put up a temporary building (container) if it is connected to something you are doing on the land as long as you take it down once whatever you are doing on the land stops. There is a catch that if what you are doing on the land requires planning permisson then you must have it before you can put up the temporary building. So the real question is what are you doing on the land and do you have / need planning permisson to do it. If you are OK in this regard I think the containers will be OK. BTW I am no expert so could be totally wrong!

  7. Hi We make charcoal in North Wales. Would be happy to supply if you cannot find anyone local. Nice to hear customers are asking for british charcoal. We have no excuse for importing charcoal. The charcoal we make in this country is so much better than the imported stuff and when you combine this with the woodland management that goes alongside it it should be a no-brainer. Its mostly about educating people to the difference between imported vs native charcoal. Once they have tried native they usually come back for more!

  9. My clunk was caused by the ball joints on the anti roll bar. Replaced those and the clunk has all but disappeared. Much more stable when towing as well.
  10. Husqvarna chain is the same as Oregon chain. Husqvarna just re-brand it.
  11. Hi - yes I agree with you about imported briquettes, Once you realise what goes in them I wouldn't want to eat food cooked with them! I am trying to develop an 'organic' version from native charcoal and a very simple binder of starch. Not sure if it will work! Still need to sort out a press. I might have to get one built.
  12. Does anyone have experience of making charcoal briquettes? From what I have read you mix fine charcoal with a binding agent such as starch. You then put it through a machine that puts it under pressure and possible heats it to dry it out. So similar to a sawdust briquette machine. I can find a few machines made in china / india that do the job: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zfUvI8H-8c&feature=related]charcoal briquette making machine, briquette machine, charcoal, barbeque charcoal - YouTube[/ame] These seem to run off an electric motor and either use a screw or ram to apply pressure. They then have electric heater elements. I think this is made in Europe but not sure if it would do the same job: Anyone know anything about this or know of a suitable (cheap) machine?
  13. My boat for a few years but had to sell when we moved.......
  14. The basic one is 11K + VAT from Riko. I picked mine up second hand so paid less. The problem is finding them as used alpines don't seem to come up that often.
  15. I went for one of these: AGT835 imported by Riko. 35HP and weights 1 ton+ so hoping it is the right balance between power and size. I can tow it easy behind the land rover but need to get some better tyres and a winch before I can put it to work proper.
  16. Firewood Sawhorse | Chain Saw Accessories | Northern Tool + Equipment Or build something like it out of scrap wood. Much quicker as you can cut mutliple trunks at a time.
  17. How do you know they are going to fail? My 110 has started making some horrid grinding / juddering noise when pulling away. Could this by a UJ on its last legs?
  18. Woodfest Wales 2nd / 3rd / 4th June Woodfest Wales, Kinmel Estate, St George
  19. Thanks Jim I think 280/70R18 might be the bit of info we have been missing. They seem to give better ground clearance, are wide-ish and should give good grip. They also seem to be a more usual tractor size as a few manufacturers seem to make them. I will get onto to Alan about making up some rims. Do you know if they fit on the AGT835 stock or do they need spacers?
  20. I know you are right! I am just struggling to find the perfect setup. Stock the AGT835 come with 7.50x16 agri wheels. I think this is the same size as a stock land rover wheel? Anyway I thought that would be too narrow. But now I am not sure! Is there a wider size that would work?
  21. I think the small branded bag is supposed to take 3KG and the bigger one 5KG. They also do plain non-branded bags If you look the small plain one is slightly smaller than the branded one and I could only get 2.5KG in it. Either way you will get a lot less weight in the bags than imported charcoal as native charcoal is lighter. You just have to convince your customers that less is more due to better quality!
  22. It is really weird the way they drive. As well as articulating it also sort of twists in the middle. Takes some getting used to but it feels like the wheels are glued to the ground. You are right I need to sort the tyres. Problem is I find wheels and tyres confusing and expensive! It is on 15x10 rims. I think the cheapest option would be to get some agri tyres for the same rims. Apparently 29x12.5x15 will fit. Anyway very happy with it. Just need to get it in the woods!
  23. The basic one is 11K + VAT from Riko: Riko UK :: Tractors They will probably do you a deal. I picked mine up second hand but it took a fair bit of searching - the problem is there are not so many around and they tend to hold onto their price.
  24. We took delivery of this yesterday. It is 35hp and made in Solvenia. My first tractor so hoping it proves to be a good investment. The plan is to fit a 3 ton winch and eventually a small trailer with crane. Has anyone used one before?
  25. Still snowing here..... So far we have built 2 snowmen, 1 snow rocket and a snow angel. And I was going to make charcoal today!
