  1. thanks so much to everyone for your comments. forums are the best thing about the internet in my opinion.
  2. hi, i have cut down a couple of large beech trees (that were full of cancor and were breakingup)in a wood that i am going to replant with oak. i have since learned that i have in fact broken the law because i felled the trees without a felling license. nobody has complained so far but i am a little worried coz the land borders an area popular with walkers. all the wood has now been cut into logs so i was hoping that because of this reason it would be hard for me to be prosecuted because it would be difficult to prove that the trees hadnt been struck by lightening or whatever? thanks.
  3. just had another quick look and found the discussion thanks.
  4. many thanks for the info. i tried typing 'unicorn hydraulic log splitter' into the search box to find previous conversations on this subject but my thread seems to be the only one coming up.
  5. hi, just joined the forum have learned tonnes already. bought a hydraulic log splitter for the tractor a couple of years ago but have recently seen videos of the unicorn spiral log splitter. was just wondering which is better - unicorn seems to be much much faster but probably more dangerous to use. any thoughts greatly appreciated. thanks
