  1. I was carving for 3 hours in constant rain this morning and got totally soaked in my new Stein. Certainly not waterproof.
  2. what type of wood is in the first 2 photos?
  3. Like the artistic element and good to see some fresh ideas.
  4. Nice work, like the abstract figures.
  5. check for spark at plug, if good then a fuel problem. if plug is wet then an electrical problem. thats the basics. could be more serious.
  6. A cambium saver/rope guide and a short prussik loop works well and easily.
  7. We use a long prussic above the hand ascender which makes releasing the ascenders easy.
  8. looks nice, what weight I wonder?
  9. Felled last summer, manually extracted up very steep bank in winter and carved in spring.
  10. I use a small throw bag on a short piece of throw line, slides thro nicely.
  11. I use a 50% mix non-fling and veg, seems ok and certainly stops the bar oil hole from clogging.
  12. I waited months for a quote from nfu, who I have my vehicles with, they then said that since I had not had an accident in 20 odd years I was a heigh risk and would not insure me. I went to Trust.
  13. I had a similar problem on my disco td5, went thro every thing replacing pump, filter plus housing, regulator and finally traced the problem to be injector washers. Spent over £300 and a lot of time. The job to replace the washers was not difficult and they cost nothing in comparision.
  14. light and comfortable, good vents but inside lining comes away.
  15. Polesaws are not particularly good for proper pruning due to the angle and a sharp chain is far more important than power. If a good handsaw is not enough then an Echo 2600 or a Zenoah 2500, properly maintained are great light saws for small diameter pruning.
  16. Get yourself a foot pantin, takes a lot of effort out of climbing, and used in conjunction with either lock or spider jack, especially away from the trunk, you fly up.

    Uh-oh

Seen cowboys doing a better job.
  18. Use a pantin but keep a hand on your rope just below the spiderjack as the taught line does not allow the jack to lock. no stress on arms or body just leg power.
  19. Oregon bar 058, he does not say the Husky bar is .
