  1. Hi Jamie, you know the area well then. Been nothing but rain and wind for last 6 weeks or so playing havoc with the schedule. No snow yet. If in the area again give us a call.
  2. use ours regularly especially good for SRT, takes a bit of getting use to but well worth the effort.
  3. SGM Inverkeithing, having an open day with arboriculture workshops on thursday 20th. bit p--d off I only received invite today. difficult to make it now but sounds good.
  4. cheers, nice to get appreciation. got a bl--dy sore wrist this evening after all day carving 14ft oak stump. will post more pics soon.
  5. Sounds a bit like all the rest, thanks for that, will keep looking. Don't really like smocks. Really do wonder if anything is truely waterproof and breathable.
  6. When started and warm it is a superb saw to use, fantastic throttle response and power band but it seems so variable and almost over-revs at times. shame about the problems starting and cutting out just when you don't need it to.
  7. are you prepared for the rain and the midges? slightly outwith our area but if I hear of anything i'll let you know.
  8. I need Hi-Viz and don't know of any other so called climbing waterproof jackets with it.
  9. just expect to much I guess, and of course I do use the saw. need to lower my standards.
  10. 1 week on and virtually no coating left on bar and while cleaning noticed starter side caseing screw missing, it just gets better and better.
  11. so no real evidence of their breathability and waterproofness yet. We could certainly have put then to the test over the last month = a bit of rain (monsoon) and warm with it, the price we pay.
  12. Might just have to try one then but would prefer to hear from a user what they think.
  13. I've tried priming the 560 when warm and certainly seemed to help most times but not every time. It is a PAIN.
  14. are they guaranteed 100% waterproof in working conditions because I am sick of so called waterproofs that are barely shower proof.
  15. interesting, what type of wood have you used for the chair?
  16. If you go out in the woods today......
  17. Pics of 560 after a week on Steve Bullmans "introducing the 560xp."
  18. Unfortunately it is difficult to start when warm and did cut out as I was felling a large Beech. Luckily I had the far more reliable 576 handy. I know it seems petty but the quality is just not as it was and it does spoil the appearance of a nice new saw.
  19. I think that would be lovely to carve and a decent size. wish I was closer.
  20. Got this saw week ago friday, done probably 6 fills. is this the quality we have to accept now?
  21. definitely not a great starter when warm, hope it improves but p--d off that after 1 fill coating started flaking of Husqvarna bar..spoils the image of nice new saw.
  22. Got mine this afternoon just to late to try it out on a lovely ash tree. Hope it lives up to expectations.
