  1. Beautiful location, pity the tide was not in for pics.
  2. I think you will find that 40k is 25mph. my 985 barely does 17mph.
  3. I arranged it via a local dealer whose supplier claimed they had to wait for a second batch to be delivered by Husqvarna. I now have the saw and am very pleased with it.
  4. Hi Dave346, they are at the Sea Life Sanctuary just north of Oban. I haven't seen them in situ yet, hopefully get there this week.
  5. Ordered and paid for Husqvarna 536 back handle saw over 4 weeks ago and still no sign. Get really aggitated with people advertising goods they do not seem to have available. Has anyone actually got one of these saws?
  6. We have had our replacement saw for a month now and am liking it more and more. Got to keep clean on clutch side as clogs up easily putting extra load on motor. Cuts amazingly well for such a crap looking chain. 2 batteries seem to last most days. Fantastic beside chipper for the odd trim.
  7. Good stuff, look forward to meeting you there.
  8. Yes, I'll be there. Heard there are already 27 applicants causing some logistical problems for the great organisers.
  9. Looking promising, used 5 days, 2 chgs/day - no problems. Actually cuts very nicely. Does clog up easily with sawdust which does cause extra load. Will keep using much as pos and post again with impressions.
  10. Had ordered the back handle aswell so could carve quietly, but have posponed untill I see how this one performs. Bit wet today so going bl--dy shopping.
  11. The saw was sent back to Husqvarna and if I hear what the cause was I will post result. NB, from operators manual; "Lithium-ion batteries can be charged whatever their charge level. The charging process can be cancelled or started whatever the battery's charge level."
  12. The problem had nothing to do with the batteries or charging!
  13. So far already out lasted 1st saw. Small beech reduction and some cross cutting in garden before putting it through some real work next week. Did 3 chgs, didn't time them but seemed to pass pretty quick. Will take a bit of getting used to. Will post again after some on-site usage.
  14. New replacement saw arrived late afternoon; to late to try out. Will put it through some tests tomorrow.
  15. Apparently Husqvarna are replacing the saw. I have asked for it to be well tested before despatch. Hope it arrives soon. Will keep posting.
  16. Hopefully local dealer can contact Husqvarna on Monday and get their response.
  17. I am sure I can get my money back but would prefer they gave me a,hopefully usable, saw. Surely some must work.
  18. Have read the manual as has supplier, appears to indicate chain brake problem but brake going on and off properly. Suspect keypad problem. Batteries fully charged. Thanks for response.
  19. Excited to get my new saw. First impressions; looks like a hobby chain on an XP saw. Charged batteries and undertook medium tree reduction, nice to use. Did about 25% battery usage = about 8 mins when warning light came on. Saw unusable. A bl--dy disgrace and very p--d off. Anyone else tried one yet and any problems?
