  1. I have posted a couple of times about the 536 with my initial thoughts. However, since getting my second replacement things are going well. It is fantastic just to press a button and virtually no noise. 2 batteries see us through most jobs. Remembering to top up oil tank and keeping saw clean around sprocket etc is essential. Had a couple of occasions in the wet when they have played up but would not like to be without now. Time will tell if they have longevity.
  2. Rather overweight replica of a fantastic search and rescue dog.
  3. First spalted beech lounger, think I posted before.
  4. I did the clear preservative but leave it up to the customer to apply their choice of treatment.
  5. Attempted to duplicate a piece I made 2 years and have in garden. Spalted beech always a surprise. Not as lined as original but customer very happy.
  6. so far so good apart from hitting a lump of concrete in a stem on friday.
  7. Apparently no such officer in this area. Will speak with local counsellor, also ex cop but reasonable one.
  8. Was a local council contract and yes they are behind us Not ARB approved as yet.
  9. Thanks Jim, would have been good to meet you and discuss 536's
  10. The incident took place last thursday but the complainant continues to cause hassle and slander our reputation which is immpecable with health and safety being paramount.
  11. Can a person be charged for ignoring signage and cross barrier tape to complain about tree reduction while aerial operations are being undertaken. According to HSE website any request for advice can take 30 days for response. I would like to know sooner and press charges if that is an appropriate course of action. His intervention and consequent visits from police and council representative prolonged the already extensive period the climbers were in harnesses. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
  12. To many pints on friday night. To much time spent on antlers. Did not produce what I had intended and bit disappointed with result. Thanks for posting.
  13. I have tried both the stein and harkie. The stein was crap and the harkie better but not up to a hard days rain.
  14. somewhere in the region of 3000 to 3500 I believe.
  15. That is very close. Am aware of several thefts of equipment in that area over the last year.
  16. To close for comfort. Makes you sick and cops not interested or possibly incapable. Where exactly was the theft?
