  4. It sounds like a single cylinder tractor with no power. Could it of slipped on the timing belt. I would guess its never had a service. Another question . How do you find the total mileage. The digital clock is only showing the daily rest clock
  5. My mate has an 04 transit and the engine has started knocking and kicking out a lot of white smoke. He's been told its a injector. Is it and are they hard to change. Also is it a common fault.
  6. I have a 1999 18hp kholer engine that lost a battle with the rear of my truck. The engine is ok but the panel work took a beating (fuel tank, front cover, rocker cover and plastic fan on the flywheel). A mate wants it and was looking for spares if anyone's got any

  11. Its alright doing that but what if the logs are being sold on. Some poor innocent sod is going to get hurt. I leave all my knotty pop and coni near the gate. Make em work for what they nick. If not get the media involved, the police will soon get involved
  12. I've had same problem near Newstead abbey. Problem was they were caught red handed buy the woodland owner. They had carried them a short distance, over a fence and loaded up a truck and trailer. Was told to return it or pay for it or the police would be called. What made it funny was that it was only big knotty pop. So they worked there bits off for nothing. Trail cam works best and some cctv warning sighs. Theres a chap at Eakring that sells them
  13. Just tell the other guys not to include him in the banter. He's there to work. If he cannot take it don't give it. He will soon feel like a spare part when he see's the rest of you having a laugh then may realise its only a laugh
  14. I would be interested at that price. Which side of Sheffield are you
  15. What did the police like. Been so long since I saw one
  16. Husky did a set but they were about 200 quid. Built in radio and blue tooth for phone calls. I've got the radio type great when you log splitting
  17. I prefer "While you're here, i'll pay you or can you just i'll pay you extra, otherwise i'm in a hurry and cannot do it today
  18. My old man took his mondeo 05 reg into our local garage about 4 times as it wouldn't accelerate. 2 cats a new sensor and £1500 later turned out to be the fuel pump. Some plastic pipe had been left in the tank and was slowly rotting clogging up the fuel pump and they couldn't even get the right fuel pump first time. It seems if they cannot find whats wrong via the computer it cannot be fixed or its going to cost a packet to get it sorted
  19. I've got one started near me, web site and all. Claims to be selling seasoned hardwood. this is his first year, most of his wood is 2ft + in diameter and bought less 6months ago. So as we all know well seasoned. Not worth bothering about
  20. Could be something jamming the fly wheel. A piece of metal stuck on the magnets. Take pull start and turn backwards. Has the machine been stood outside uncovered if so take sump plug off and see if water comes out.
  21. I thought that just checking if someone had some spares kicking about. The last ones I got was from a mate who found them in his workshop. You never no

  23. I've been out quite a few times with my road tow processor. I lent it out once without an operator and they soon knackered the chain. Always goes out with operator now (me). You will find you will do work for the same person for a couple of years then they go and buy there own. Buy a big umbrella so you can work in rain or sun
  24. I've never had a problem. Always fill up 2 jerry cans 1 combi can and me chipper and no one said anything yet.
