  1. 2 to 3 years. Love to see the size of your log store. No wood needs 3 years to dry. Most wood if split and stored in well ventilated conditions will be dry below th 25% needed within 4 to 6 months
  2. I'm working with him more now. So he's totaly screwed
  3. My mate does need some luck he's just been screwed over by 2 firms for £1800 and £3800 and only been in business for a year
  4. wouldn't be so bad but the bloke lives round the corner from me. But a 100 quid for less than ton of pop MAD
  5. Felled a pop for a mate last week and got rid of 2 loads to a mate of his but was left with 1 load, mainly the trunk and base, to get rid of. There was about a level transit full a large unsplit rings. He managed to find someone to buy them off him for 100 quid. Why can't I find people like that. The git
  6. Have just taken my old entec chipper to bits (Its now in 5 pieces) and wanted to clean it up. I'm sand blasting the axel, drawbar, and base tomorrow. Any ideas what paint to use that will be long lasting, tough, and not cost an arm and a leg

Yes it was me with 3 people watching. 2 workers and a caretaker. The caretaker didn't stay around long. My first thought was what a TW*T. But accidents happen. We dont learn without them and its only going to cost about £200 to fix. One problem is close family and friends keep taking the pee

Will try one tomorrow. The list of damages are slight bent drawbar bent tow ball, smashed casing around engine, holed and very damaged fuel tank, cracked rocker cover. Engine fine. It's an old petrol entec KOHLER engine

What's the best way to react if the boss (man in charge) forgets the chipper is attached to the truck and decides to reverse over it causing a bit of damage (that person being me)
  15. And I thought trying to reverse over my chipper while it's attached to my transit was a bad day
  16. Thanks for the help. Looks like i'm multi-tasking monday
  17. sounds like a fuel problem. Check filters or change and check fuel tank. There may be crap at the bottom of the tank restricting flow
  18. Had a little accident with my ENTEC Chipper today. Forgot it was attached to the back of my truck and tried to reverse over it. Damaged the fuel tank, the plastic around the fly wheel, wheel one rocker cover. Anyone got a spare one it's an 18 HP V TWIN 1999 model
  19. I got a brother with the same problem. Used me and my gear, was upset when it not available or broke so told him to stuff it. I didnt need him he needed me. He not talk to me for a while. I'm a lot better off, alot less stress, and not wasting time fixing things i didnt break. Go it alone he will miss you more than you will miss him
  20. Sounds about right. Does it work. I would check the radiator for anti freeze or lack of water. This cold weather can cause a lot of internal damage. You could be buying a load of spare parts
  21. You do get some that make the job worth doing. Makes up for the ones that know it all but know f all
  22. Makes good compost/soil conditioner when you finished with it. I find it gets hotter with fresh chip that has plenty of green. Best thing is to have a dig around to see which is hotter. We are thinking of keeping our large shed warm with a couple of radiators pumping water round with a heating pump
  23. Have cooked a spud in a chip pile took 2 days. As for heating i put about 30ft of flexable pipe in my chip pile last time i piled it up. The water that came out after a week was to hot to touch. The problem is you dont want to be taking to much heat out of the pile
  24. If that's so why she been watching it alone
  25. Do you think if i gave them my old bosses details he would be happy. He does owe me £1500
