  2. I have worked with some planks does that count
  3. A company near me is Hetas assured and I checked some of his logs at a x customer of his they were wet mouldy and black and twice as much as mine. So a total waste of time and money. Just not mine
  4. About 85 ton ish and still going. Now I know why me back hurts
  5. How did they get there so quick on a Sunday. You cannot find a copper (not even a plastic plod) on a week day round here and as for the council

    nail gun gas

Took mine in for repairs because it was playing up turned out to be the gas out of date. Makes a big bang on the bonfire
  7. What you worried about you got paid. If they want wet logs sell them wet. The customer is all ways right even if they dont no what they talking about. I have one who lives opposite me and she knows everything about logs and log burners. She been burning logs for about a year, i've been selling logs for 18years. BUT WHAT DO I NO
  8. Will give it a go in the morning. Thanks
  9. Do i need to protect the disc or just get a big crow bar and pull/push till it falls on your foot
  10. My Y reg Transit tipper driver side front wheel bearing started making a noise and yes is on its way out. Do i have to remove the whole unit off the shock asorber, lower ball joint and track rod ball joint to get the bearing out. ( and no its not a taper bearing). Help and advise would be a great help. Thankyou
  11. Feel for you. I lost my dog about 4 months ago and still miss him greatly. He was my best pal and traveled with me everywhere. You dont think you will miss them so much but you do. You can never replace them but you just have to carry on
  12. Face Cord that wont work very well as you need green matter to get things composting well. I my large pile you can tell when the chip was added because chip with no green matter dont rot to quick. My idea of running a pipe in the pile would mean that the water would work like a central heating system once warm/hot it would continue to circulate around thus not extracting to much heat from the pile in one go. Anyway once composting is done no more heat is generated
  13. I was going to say that but didnt want to tell every one. Under floor heating just like in houses or a couple of radiators placed in middle of your log pile. Under floor would be best as heat rises
  14. I've put a water pipe in mine when i last moved it. Its surprising how hot it gets. Going to use the heat to warm the workshop. I hear that a thick layer in a polly tunnel with a good layer of soil is good for growing soft veg in winter
  15. When i first went to see the job a year ago they asked about risk assesment my reply was simple "touch my processor and i'll break you arm" simple
  16. Is there such a thing and do i need one if i'm an owner/operator. The reason is i have been asked to process a load of timber for a local estate and they asking HSE questions, risk assement etc etc. I've just printed 14 pages of contractors rules. Its not surprising that nothing gets done in this country we spend half our time reading and filling in forms. Where's common sense
  17. Denso tape. That sticky bandage / putty type stuff is what they used when i caught one with my digger. They was going to charge about £650 for the repair but when questioned about the lack of depth charge £250. still a ripoff. Still never found how deep it should have been
  18. where doomed all doomed (to be said in a scottish accent)
  19. There is a small relay on the opposite side to the stress box. I did unbolt it and a wire fell off in my hand so may be the problem but a complete git to get to thats why i lift it with me mate or i may start attacking it with something heavy
  20. Called them and have sent it to a friend to check out the wires and boxes
  21. Will take temp of the water and the compost tomorrow just out of interest. So what you are saying it would make good clean compost
  22. I've been composting mine for years and its not caught fire yet and it does get hot. Last time i moved it tho help it compost it was like driving a mini digger in a suna. I've also place a water pipe in it to see hot it gets and you cannot hold your hand under it. But still no fire. I did cook a spud in it once but it took 2 days
  23. women, you cannot live with them you cannot live with out them.
  24. You dont have to live with my wife otherwise i would upgrade. Thinking about it i've had the chipper longer than the wife and like the wife it makes loads of noise and does its job but has cost less to maintain
  25. Turned out the feed rollers would not go forward or back. Checked all the switches and they all working checked spool valve buy conecting stright to battery and they work backwards and forward. Checked conection between spool valve switch and control switch and they seem to be working. Was told today that they had problems with stress control when first made, am hoping not as it going to cost £300. Anyone have problems with this when they first came out or any other surgestions on what it could be
