Only just seen this thread oooh good luck with it!:thumbup1:I will make a donation as sounds like a good cause im contemplating the same thing for city wilife care but saving it for the spring I want to do it with Swansea skydive looks amazing I must be turning into a thrill seeker :biggrin:imn trying to persuade somebody to get up there with me though if I jump I want somebody I know doing it too if they chicken out at least im up there and will do it then lol

Thanks everyone thats very usefull information I have not heard of the one you use on coasters liberon where is the best place to purchase this from?is it easy to find?I told my friend this morning they could possibly try worktop oil for the boards I use it on our kitchen but its pretty expensive to buy but will pass on the info about the olive oil and cooking oil

Very sad news we had somthing similar about 6 years ago close by us they kerbed it car mounted the pavement flipped managed to launch into the trees which were on the river bank slipped right through all the trees down into the river Usk 3 were killed and drowned one got out there is a headstone to mark where it happend very very sad

Hi just wondered does anybody know where to im likely to find it on my truck I know its gone and have been told its on the gear box somewhere I ordered the part and its arrivbed but before I go crawling about under there to change the damn thing as its pretty mucky on the ground atm can somebody tell me where im likely to find it and wether its located driver side or passenger side of the gear box and which way is the easiet to get at it ?thanks

I got asked a question today but as I dont really know that much about woodwork so thought I would ask on here as it is somthing I would like to get into doing my friends husband has started making cheese boards and wanted to know what oil is safe to finish the boards with ?also whilst im asking I am looking at making a stock pile of cup coasters etc so by next christmas I can do a craft stall for the parents association at my sons school can anyone advise what the best finish would be to use on these also thanks

I know its wishfull thinking but I really hope it doesnt spread we own 11 acres of mixed woodland/scrub and 65% of that is ash that we use for firewood I took a walk through earlier this afternoon checking on our own trees couldnt see anything to worry about but im too weary to fell any of them now as knowing my luck anything I remove would be the few that were disease resistant or somthing but I can see what your saying you will get people who will take advantage of the situation just so they can benefit sad situation really
  11. Is it heading our way ?I love the snow suns out here atm no sign of it in the air we had a pretty impressive load of lightening pass by us last night the sky turned really black but no snow lol

Go for it if you feel fit enough to I will never forget with my 1st pg my neighbour hanging out her window screaming at me because I was out in the garden swinging an axe splitting firewood you know your own body and know your own limitations if you feel you are getting warning signals then stop but if you feel ok and are sure you want to do it then I cant see a problem myself ,or you could just wait until after and do the most sensible thing its really your decision and nobody can make that choice for you
  13. Yeah tried it quickly earlier fitted well over another top so will be great thanks and not too tight around the arms either using tools the way I do my muscles are toned around there some t-shirts like my work polo shirts can be tight but they are fine fits great

I think they are pretty cool and would love to know how they are done do they use a certain type of pumpkin? as the flesh below seems like there is a lot to work with this is as complex as my pumpkin got this year and I used a stencil and me and my boys struggled to follow the original pattern and ended up carving with a small drill bit and a stanley lol would love to see how they do the detail ones like that

Thanks I found a webpage that was full of pics but still could not see the same one maybe it was a young one that had not coloured up properly it was very pink and could not compare it to what I found it looked like it was feeding off the sap of the tree ,will put it down as some sort of hawk moth then thanks
  23. Ours is not lit yet but I piled a load into our wood bucket ready for it to be lit yesterday as thought it was going to be cooler this weekend not long now and it will be lit soon enough
  24. Forgot to add the bit on the head appeared to be a horn of some sort
