  5. Thanks for the pics, too far for me obviously, gives a real taste of the show.

  7. 1200 odd hours on my TW 150 a few plasticky bits broken, in real terms 1 exhaust gone. Everything else is all could be classed as normal usage, flywheel bearings etc, there is a lot of TW bashing but they make a lot of people a lot of money with very little down time.

  11. Ty, I bought an Oregon grinder over here for €150 perfectly adequate.
  12. Quite so Huck, and long may it continue
  13. I would have said that. certainly on the maples
  14. ok fair enough. So am I
  15. Just saying it as I see it. You will earn more money working for yourself, so do it.
  16. Absolutely spot on.
  17. Just drill some holes with the top of the chainsaw. Let the water do the rest. I have had many clients tell me of this mysterious substance that rots stumps quickly, none of them has ever put a name to it or found it in their shed. If anyone knows, do tell.
  18. Not that much then, the vox pop has it greenmech are superior. I used one years ago (around 1998) and it constantly blocked up, they seem to have improved.
  19. Are the prices comparable?
  20. hi Ty, I guess Global Newark answered your question (I think!) I have always found Poplars and Cherries to be fibrous and a PITA. the stuff won't shear off and the grinder has a tendancy to bounce out unless the teeth are nearly new. mick
  21. Best post on this thread.
  22. Firm but fair!
  23. You should've agreed the extra cost before removing the other two trees. (The OP is difficult to understand btw) If he has paid up front you are in the driving seat. However I would have thought the extra cost of grinding is negligible (once the machine was there etc) Customer sounds a pain but at the point where he says "could you do those two as well?" it's up to you to say "that will be XXXXX extra.
  24. Why do you even bother going to look at them?
  25. This has come up from time to time, you are the bloke that makes the profit, you either swallow the cost or get rid of the blokes, charging groundsmen/brash draggers for damage is having your cake and eating it. I imagine they are on little enough as it is.
