    Perish the thought, it was a metaphorical drink. Out here loads of deodars and blue cedars get put too close to the bungalows that get thrown up everywhere, i take them down a lot and am often amazed at how quick they grow.

    Deal, (need a photo!) on a serious note I would feel a little sad about an ancient oak or the like but a overgrown suburban Blue cedar, not too much.

    Look I don't have a machine like this I have a TW, but check the relays before you splash out, then take it to an agricultural engineer, chippers are easy-peasy for those guys compared to the complexity of the stuff they deal with.

    That's the thing with them, rarely very difficult but it's all about logistics, how much chip, logs etc

    Fair points, assuming (perhaps foolishly) he has calculated his overheads he wanted to know what people thought was a fair daily rate, always a thorny subject.
