  1. , Quite simply, I don't believe you.
  2. Great moment, but for City fans that was a long time ago now! I think Mourinho and City are a match made in heaven. Hopefully he'll bring back Ronaldo, I've missed the both of them!
  3. Ha Ha, touché
  4. Oh come on now! It was (almost) a compliment:001_smile: Now..........fetch! Maybe we should start a thread "What dog does such and such arbtalker resemble" character wise rather than appearance.
  5. Most "Arbs can't tell a birch from a beech" utter nonsense (Lots can't spell them admittedly!)The rest is fairly ridiculous aswell, "everything else is unknown" poppycock! (can I say poppycock?)
  6. Tony, I always get the feeling that asking you a question is a bit like throwing a tennis ball for a Border Collie! (5 seconds later it drops it at your feet and you realise you've started something you cannot finish!) But... would you care to enlarge on what you said as it's a bit cryptic,
  7. Don't disagree but there we are, it is what it is. There is a tendancy for people to want to pull the ladder up behind them.
  8. Don't get me wrong I am all for training and qualification but I disagree, 12 weeks is enough, tree surgery/climbing is not that complex, after that you really have to learn on the job. To be a TO or a consultant fair enough a longer course is necessasary
  9. I agree, Nothing wrong with work gear and sawdust, it shows at least someone trusted you!
  10. Lots of people burn Pop here, not the best but if kept dry it"s ok.
  11. Right on both counts
  12. Well, it's an odd one Dave, out here chestnut is the "go to" wood for burners. Cannot really help.
  13. Ha ha, I knew there was some irony in there somewhere.
  14. Just a little update on a MS200t that I asked for some help with. On the third time of asking (After advice on here) they changed the crank seals and guess what? It's now a ring-dinging tree-killin' beautiful bitch of a saw which rather puts the 201 in the shade, but that's for another thread...... so in conclusion over running on tickover, problems when hot, don't discount crank seals. Thanks, Mick
  15. Well I don't know who Simon is. Anyway not worth arguing about, (we'll find something later no doubt:001_smile:) On the subject of emoticons as I believe they're called. When I first started on forums I didn't like their use becuase I thought them to be lazy like saying LOL 'frinstance. But they are useful at conveying things that are difficult with just writing like intonations:001_smile: as you say. Obviously eight smileys one after the other is overkill but I find myself using the more obsure ones more and more.
  16. I broke my arm once and had lost a lot of strength in it so that was difficult for a week or two Apart from that after 2 months off with broken ribs I got back in the saddle with no problems. (Albeit a bit less gung-ho!)
  17. The thing is with Worcs Wuss is he never claims to be (or to have been) a commercial climber, in fact he regularly reiterates that. Initially, Like you, Rob Arb I found his posts puzzling because of that but he actually knows his stuff and his opinions are valid. What is a bit annoying is when people make veiled references to others without naming them, it's a bit childish. ie. "others not too far away" Ps David Humphries you looked a bit like Eddie Izzard!
  18. Picturesque would probably be a better word!!! (nought wrong with Watford)
  19. Nice views Reg, bit better than Watford and Erith!
  20. Agreed. don't know that much about extraction but looks a bit weedy to make any real money.
  21. Hey Big J, are you still going to Germany?
  22. 2 year old split chestnut should burn fine, that is the normal turnaround time. Have you covered it?
  23. Good pics, looked like fun, extreme Boxer envy!
  24. Of course WOM is the best. But, and it's a big but, when you are doing 4 or 5 different jobs a week in somewhere competitive like the SE of England you need a lot of new clients every week. You gotta advertise.
  25. Having already been wrong once:blushing: I'll have another go:001_smile:If the flywheel is stuck because the noggin is up against it then it won't start 'cos it may be direct drive through belts (like a TW), ie no clutch, free the noggin then try and start it.
