  1. Oh go on, to be fair it has been the best argued thread on here for ages.
  2. Hey Pete, Flicked through that, a bigger pile of rubbish it would be difficult to find.
  3. Borrow the money and get a goodun.
  4. Agreed; no rotten fence panels.......ever?
  5. Not really a Hmmm about it, yes they do have a part, for exactly the reason stated.
  6. I won't argue with anyone, and I'll only make one post. Great Prime minister, mistakes made sure, did many things right, as Arbogrunt said would you rather have had Michael Foot? History will remember her as a true great. Ps I am nearly 50 so I remember the previous Labour government.
  7. There's your answer.
  8. Christ Huck, this guy comes on with a story that should send a warning to all of us and you're accusing him of being a BS merchant, with absolutely no evidence. Are the figures really relevant to the story?
  9. Sure, your call, play around all you like.
  10. I cannot really see too much wrong, so he is using natural crotches, so what? The branch rips out leaving a tear, big deal! Using small stubs as lowering points and for friction, do it all the time. In conclusion, not sure I would post it but not really anything to get one's knickers in a twist about.
  11. Christ that sounds like a bum deal! 40 bloody quid:thumbdown:
  12. Best post of the week!
  13. Thing is aren't you finding a solution to a problem that doesn't exist, I mean they shrink a bit and yet still produce a full crop, so why do it? My old man used to cut his potatoes in half before planting.
  14. Well of course there is speculation! that's what we do, it's a forum, people talk about stuff, it doesn't matter what people say. One of the things that I've noticed in the modern age is this collective grief thing that people have. Like Gnome said; I don't know the bloke and to be honest I don't care anymore than the thousands of other people who have died or been killed in his town, county, or country in traffic accidents or jumping from buildings since this thread started. I assume a lot of you are on FB, have you ever got one of those things you're supposed to pass on if you've lost someone to cancer? one click of a button and there you are, a caring person in front of all you friends and family. It's BS
  15. Well said Gnome, I too have noticed the way that any videos of damage or injury are accompanied by many a guffaw or "what a tool!" (or worse!) And I think you're right about the other stuff as well.
  16. Holly adds a bit of variety.
  17. Could you "quote" that photo for us please? I can't find it going back through the thread. Cheers.
  18. Abrasive Oak? Does the oakwood itself contains sand? Just curious:001_smile:
  19. It's no big deal really, but when there is a really hot thread and you refresh the page to find someone has put a new post, you hope that it will be something that will either warm, amuse or reinforce you views, irritate you beyond belief or give you a new and interesting take on it, instead you get the equivalent of a "like" on fb. I find it a bit of a let down that's all.
  20. Pollard/Repollard Tomayto/Tomarto looks ok to me.
  21. Very funny. I guess I asked for that!
  22. I tell you what gets on my nerves a bit when people quote a thread and just put a thumbs up or something. Say something! I've just gone back to a thread 'cos it's a new update and all you can do is put a emoticon. (I know Rob enjoys my derails!)
  23. Lots of threads on here about it, Tbh it's really not that complex (to do) anyway. It's not magic, just cut 'em back. About as easy as tree surgery gets.
  24. Yeah I know:001_smile:
