  1. I can only speak for myself in saying its not a bad saw just not as good as the 200t. Get the 201 it's still the only show in town.
  2. right move! Not that much more expense or time:001_smile:
  3. I don't know about the term but IME mature birch can be funny like that, turn their toes up at a moments notice, they're up and then that's it, gonners.
  4. Well what chipper is it?
  5. Where might help:confused1:
  6. Just re-read it, hydraulic tank comma air filter. Got it now.
  7. The hydraulic tank has an air filter?
  8. Off subject a bit but i've had my Transit 11 years now, the diff oïl has never been changed or checked! (More than could be said for the Landy!)
  9. Interesting, got any pics?
  10. That sounds expensive!
  11. A 500 quid bet takes some balls. Well done, enjoy your holiday!
  12. look nice, but what'll it hold 1.2 cube? Hardly worth the effort.
  13. That's the spirit!
  14. I would have thought fitting an old transit tipping unit would be simpler and cheaper.
  15. It doesn't tip? Hellfire you make things hard! Or is that the next evolution?
  16. Yup, same as.
  17. I think you're safe:001_smile:
  18. it's not a macho thing Andy it's a finance thing, a TW or Jensen tow behind can be pushed by two blokes almost anywhere, if its really tricky hire a couple of plonkers to drag brush for eighty quid a day, you're going to have to take the wood out anyway. I work for a few landscapers out here who have these sort of things and they're not worth the effort. Just my opinion of course.
  19. Well watching the video of that I'd rather load it into a truck/trailer and rasher it down with a chainsaw, save my money and get a proper chipper.
  20. Me too, I didn't want to be a Luddite, but there you go....
  21. David, I think that's scaremongering, why is this not such a problem elsewhere these caterpillars live? I also think the toddler/pram scenario is unworthy of you. Imagine if someone posted a toddler/pram scenario about a limb from a tree. I think it would get pretty short shrift. They're in the UK now. I suppose you could throw money at checking the trees in urban parks every year at huge expense. I guess in the end it'll be up to the taxpayer.
  22. With oaks or people? either way what difference does that make? Holland is more densely populated than the UK. I think the population of the UK is being scared by the whole "Nasty foriegn invader" thing attacking our good English oaks.
  23. Just a quick point, we have these caterpillars here on the continent,(and lots of pine processionary nests) and you know what? the world keeps turning, oaks keep growing, no mass extinction, no streets full of people writhing in agony. Just get on with it. It's no big deal.
  24. Oh yeah, I get it now, good point! However A lot of the more popular ones on the market are still belt driven. (believe me I look at a lot on the net) All about cost I guess. Whilst belts seem a bit medieval they do work well and are cheap. Anyway nice looking unit.
