  1. Yeah I know it's upside down!
  2. So how have you arrived at those dimensions? PMH's is a double cab, world of difference. Here's mine 130, technically would hold 4 ish cube I cannot see how a double cab would do the same.
  3. Is it a double cab?
  4. I don't believe it. Look at it,2.5 to 3 max.
  5. 4.5 cube hmmmmm... What are the dimensions?
  6. Christ! they love the Oval Badge out here, oblivious to to all their faults.
  7. 120 kg or1200?
  8. Yeah it happens, grease the bearings periodically, cost me a petty penny once when I was miles from home!
  9. 'Bout time someone started to laud the TW, money makers par excellence, and nothing like land rovers BTW!
  10. But would you use a wire core to do it with?
  11. Wiggle the relays in the black box when it's not turning, if they start again you've found your answer, sometime the vibrations can deteriorate the contact.
  12. In answer to the OP, yes, but keep your mobile handy.
  13. Obviously a bit silly but also missing the point, a steel strop is a joy to ring down with because it flips down easy, and is generally more user friendly as a second line/ tieing in point.
  14. I would think it is unlikely to have been planted by the council, these trees are very rarely planted as amenity, speak to the tree officer ASAP, I reckon he'll ok any works you suggest. (It's probably snuck in unnoticed!)
  15. I found it in a wood, brought it home and planted ferns round it, it's in a very shady area round the north face of the house, I am interested in shade gardens.
  16. My own humble effort....why are my iPad pics always upside down?
  17. Ok Chris no prob like I say just playing devil's advocate.
  18. Really? (Remember I don't know you business so once again I'm playing devis advocate) Could you not get you Fuso closer hire another brash rat and if you get into a pickle pull it out with the 4wd? I was as guilty as the rest in thinking I "needed" a 4wd tipper whereas really I wanted to have one 'cos they looked cool" Get your diary out for the last 6months and job by job work out where you absolutely had to have one, then work out if it was worth paying the astronomical figures these things fetch? Ps this is not just for you but for all of us equipment junkies!
  19. Sure, just be aware they won't hold diddly squat. I think we all search for the one truck that will do it all, 4wd, tipper, winch, family car etc, truth is it doesn't exist. I went down the 130 tipper route, and as they say on the X factor, "it was a journey" For me keep the mitzi get a cheap Hilux or summat for quoting towing etc. Just my opinion of course.
  20. Well close enough I guess, I think it's a lesser stag beetle. Well, confident actually!
  21. no, just think, tons and tons of rotting warm wet woodchip, what's going to love that.
  22. Thousands of these monsters in my chip pile, I found the adults so no mystery really but somebody might have some fun looking them up
  23. A few years ago I was in a pickle with money and used old engine oil for a while, maybe a year, I suffered no problems with pumps or wear of bars etc, it is messy but more importantly its loaded with carcinogen, So I stopped. I bet they use it in developing countries though where life is cheap. Clean or new engine oil is fine, my old boss bought halfords own all the time. I don't think he realized it was pricier than the proper stuff!
  24. I tell you what would have been a better option......Doing the job you were asked to do.
  25. Yes, even if you we're able to put any significant weight in the back it would handle like a hippo on acid, I had a 130 tipper and I went on a weigh bridge with one and a quarter tonne of compost on, it was 20 mph all the way home, that had a toolbox at the front of the tipping unit so a lot of weight on and behind the rear axel.
