  1. Thousands of these monsters in my chip pile, I found the adults so no mystery really but somebody might have some fun looking them up
  2. A few years ago I was in a pickle with money and used old engine oil for a while, maybe a year, I suffered no problems with pumps or wear of bars etc, it is messy but more importantly its loaded with carcinogen, So I stopped. I bet they use it in developing countries though where life is cheap. Clean or new engine oil is fine, my old boss bought halfords own all the time. I don't think he realized it was pricier than the proper stuff!
  3. I tell you what would have been a better option......Doing the job you were asked to do.
  4. Yes, even if you we're able to put any significant weight in the back it would handle like a hippo on acid, I had a 130 tipper and I went on a weigh bridge with one and a quarter tonne of compost on, it was 20 mph all the way home, that had a toolbox at the front of the tipping unit so a lot of weight on and behind the rear axel.
  5. There was a thread on here before about these and some bloke said that he'd rather fork the chip out and spend the money on something else. I agree, what will that green hilux hold? A meter and a half cube maybe? Not worth the effort. Buy some ply and a potato fork and spend whatever this unit costs on a 3.5 tonner no matter how rough.
  6. Fair enough.
  7. All very nice but you don't appear to have reduced them.
  8. I don't think anyone's upset, you've just made yourself look a bit silly that's all.
  9. As Honey Bros started this thread, can I ask them something? have you spoken to Stihl or just received emails? 'cos this is starting to get a bit weird.
  10. The second paragraph......it's a joke right?
  11. Of course they have "the right" it's their product so they can decide how they want it sold/distributed.
  12. Great machine, I've had mine for over ten years and it has paid itself back ten times over. Enough punch for the bigguns, so much easier to use than a pedestrian, sure a little more power would be nice, but isn't that always the case!
  13. Wouldn't suprise me Jon. These are big companies, they're not mugs.
  14. I think you're right about the modern build quality. If I ever have to get a new one I'll get an Echo, what's the point in paying more for a blower?
  15. My hand held has been stopped on the choke for more than 5 years, no problems. (it's over 10 years old)
  16. Order them b4 june 3rd:001_smile:
  17. What parts would you need for a blower....... really?
  18. 'cos if you really wanted to sell it and buy husky it would cost loads in depreciation, you'd be better off replacing worn out stuff with Husky as and when. Plus you'd be doing it on e-bay and arbtrader instead of making a little footstomping tantrum about it.
  19. TBH I think you're being ridiculous. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!
  20. If its that bad do it tomorrow.
  21. For what time scale?
  22. Well if he's local you can just pop in there!
  23. Ha Ha. O a serious note, if you want to work all the time then do it. When I first started I would obsess and worry then I figured it'll sort itself out, in time you'll realise your hard work has paid off and you can relax a bit more. Otherwise take the dog for a walk, go for a pint or something.
  24. Interesting stuff, you clearly have a handle on life out here,I have worked with a few fallers out here and have been very impressed, I await the next installment!
  25. Good points and pic. Have you got any pictures giving incontrovertible proof of damage to trees by the sun in the UK?
