  2. hello yes i have recieved the book havent had a chance to read it yet *work and social life very busy. 6 weeks means ill be due to send it in mid september who ever is next please pm me ur address at some point and ill ensure it is didpatched on time cheers again hama and everyone who is in the club and supporting this great idea
  3. the job was at UCS. and it was great having the 350's there as they would just munch pretty much whatever u put in there *not always but thats life. we took some away as fire wood and the chip is either sold on to powerstations as biomass or left to mulch properley. so effictivley with it going to a power station it does heat ur home and thank you steve for answering the question of the crane thing.
  4. hello all here are some pics from a crane job we had to do recently i dont know tons of info about the job i was just a groundie * very new to the job. but thought i would share them with you. but i would like to say a thankyou to jeff from timberwolf for the td350's we used. and to steve bullman as it was great to meet you and chat to you.
  5. the new vw pickup looks brillaint. the engine will be bullet proof i feel and i dont think youll have a problem towing stuff * i dont tow much stuff personally but all the people i know that do have no problems with vw engines. plus it was the officials car's for the dakar rally so you know it can handle the terrain

  7. slighty moving on from a point made earlier in this thread efficencey is a good thing to aim for. i would say to speed up the overall process. slow down each part so you are not rush and missing something. and the best way to get fit for climbing is climbing. good luck i hope this made sense a little bit if it didnt then take the good luck bit and forget the rest
  8. i dont know about the vizir but i know one of the guys at work uses mesh goggles i dont know the make or where he got them from but hedoesnt have a problem. im gona have a look on the internet to see if i can find any.
  9. you want to be happy with the lid on your head because your gona be in it a lot
  10. agree with the ear defenders problem and it will be a warm helmet but i would say no warmer than a standerd husquarvna set up. its a good lid and will take a pounding : i have one personally for rockclimbing and gorge scrambling.

  13. bought stretch airs recently love them they are lighter than my previous and very flexible so v good but have been told not hard wearing. so like other people have said try them

  17. ive not free climbed trees properley yet * probablary when i was a kid but have free climbed 100m rock climb in the lake district
  18. make sure petzl get a message about it they will be intrested to know about it.
  19. when we cut stuff down on jobs we chipp whats too small and bring back the bigger stuff in to lengths that are manageable and ring the thicker sections. stack at the yard wait for it to season. then vertical splitter and axes. put in to piles when we need to load them up back the van to the pile and start chucking
  20. also like stereo said about um and ah dont say anything c$onsider your answer silently phrase it in your head .......... pause ..........then answer
  21. with power points becareful not to just read what is on your slide as i know it bores me and quite probably other people. public speaking i would not worry much you know your subject the people there want to be there. and once the first few sentences are out of the way youll be in the swing of things. good luck where are you possibily speaking?
  22. i'm not a climber and havent used access platforms before. but i see them as another tool in our arsenal to call upon when it is the best option surely it should be chosen.
  23. i probably wont enter the comp but will defintley come down and watch and have a look at what else is going on.
